통합교육에 대한 우려와 특수학급 교사의 역할에 대한 교사들의 기대 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 통합교육의 실행에 따른 교사들의 우려와 특수학급 교사의 역할에 대한 기대를 알아보고자 일반교사와 특수교사를 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 대상은 교육대학원과 특수교육대학원에 재학하고 있는 교사들로서 통합교육에 대한 지식과 실제 경험을 가진 교사들로 구성하여 보다 실제적인 결과를 도출하고자 하였다. 연구도구로는 Sharma와 Desai(2002)가 개발한 통합교육에 대한 우려 척도(Concerns about Inclusive Education Scale : CIES)와 Agaliotis와 Kalyva(2011)이 개발한 SENCO(Special Need Coordinator) 척도를 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면 통합교육에 대한 우려는 행·재정적 지원의 부족, 생활지도의 어려움에 대한 우려가 가장 높았으며, 이러한 어려움에 대한 인식은 특수교사와 일반교사 간에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 특수학급 교사의 역할에 대한 기대에서는 통합교육 추진 노력, 장애학생 교과지도 및 협력하기로 나타나 특수학급 교사들이 통합교육을 추진하기 위해 보다 노력해야한다는 인식을 가진 것으로 나타난 반면, 일반교사들의 생활지도 어려움에 대한 우려는 특수학급 교사의 장애학생에 대한 교과지도 강화와 정적 상관을 가진 것으로 제시되어 특수학급으로의 분리교육에 대한 인식도 여전히 존재하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과들을 근거로 하여 국내 통합교육 상황의 문제점을 분석하고 그에 따른 개선 방안에 대한 논의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study based on the progression of integrated education teachers concerns and expectations regarding the role of special education teachers by evaluating how the general education teachers and special education teachers conduct. Study participants attending graduate school of education and integrated education, who are also teachers with the knowledge and practical experience, suggested a more realistic and practical result. Research tools include Sharma and Desai s (2002) concerns about Inclusive Education Scale: CIES and Agaliotis and Kalyva s (2011) SENCO (Special Need Coordinator) scale. According to the results of this study concerns about integrated education, the lack of financial support, guidance concerns about the difficulties of life had the highest awareness between special education teachers and general education teachers. In addition, expectations about the role of special education teachers in the integration effort to promote education appear to show increasing cooperating efforts between in order to promote integrated education. Based on the results of the study, subsequent discussions and analysis on the improvement measures on the domestic issue of integrated education were presented.
