국문 초록

본 연구는 중증·중복 뇌병변장애인의 자세유지보조기구(이너)와 신변처리용품(기저귀)의 사용 실태 및 요구를 조사하여 지원 방안을 모색하기 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 5곳과 경기도 소재 1곳의 지체장애 특수학교에 재학 중인 중증·중복 뇌병변장애 학생의 부모 또는 대리인 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 서울지역의 중증·중복 뇌병변장애 자녀를 둔 7명의 어머니를 대상으로 면담조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 자세유지보조기구(이너) 구입비용이 크고 교체주기가 짧더라도 중증·중복 뇌병변장애인의 신체 변형 및 악화를 예방하기 위해 필요하기 때문에 국민건강보험 보장구 보험급여에 포함시킬 것을 요구하였다. 또한, 신변처리용품인 기저귀는 중증·중복 뇌병변장애인 대다수가 사용하고 있지만 기존 제품은 크기가 맞지 않은 경우가 많고, 구입 비용이 가계에 부담을 주기 때문에 장애인용 기저귀 맞춤형 생산과 의사의 처방을 통한 보험적용을 요구하였다. 이상과 같은 연구결과는 중증·중복 뇌병변장애인을 위한 바람직한 정책의 방향을 제시하는데 기초가 될 것이라 사료된다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to investigate the actual condition about the use and needs for life-support goods, inner and diaper, of children with severe/multiple brain lesions and present preliminary data to find measures to support the children and to improve policies related to them. For this, the survey was carried out for 300 parents and substitutes in 5 special schools for physical disabilities in Seoul and 1 special school in Kyunggi-Do, and the in-depth interviews were carried out for seven mothers who currently had children with severe/multiple brain lesion lived in Seoul. The study results are as follows. First, the study participants mentioned that inner is actually necessary for preventing body modification and deterioration of severe/multiple brain lesions, even though the purchase cost is so high and cycle of replacement is somewhat short. So there has been the needs for insurance benefit/payment for assisting devices in National Health Service for the students with severe/multiple brain lesions. Next, the study participants expressed that the diapers has been used by a great many children with severe/multiple brain lesions, even the size of existing ones are not fit to the children and the difficulties of domestic economy in accordance with raising children with severe/multiple brain lesions. So the diapers have to be customized to them and to cover insurance based on the doctor s prescription. The study results as above is expected to have positive effect on showing the advisable direction of policies for people with severe/multiple brain lesions.
