국문 초록

의사소통능력은 미래의 인재로 성장할 대학생이 갖추어야 할 핵심역량으로 특별히사고와 표현의 과정을 거쳐 습득할 수 있는 글쓰기의 능력과 연결된다.의사소통능력함양을 위한 대학 교육의 변화의 중심에는 대학 글쓰기 교육의 안정적이고 체계적인구축이 놓여있다.이에 국내 대학들은 글쓰기 능력의 향상을 원하는 학생들의 현실적인 요구에 부응하기 위해 정규 교과과정의 글쓰기 교육의 대안으로서 비교과 글쓰기프로그램을 기획,운영하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재의 성과확산을 위한 글쓰기 비교과 프로그램의 지나친 외연 확장이 오히려 글쓰기 교육의 진정성을 훼손하고 있다고 보고,대학은 선택과 집중의관점에서 글쓰기 프로그램의 질적 개선을 통한 교육적 효과를 높이는 방안에 보다 더집중해야함을 제안하였다.이를 위한 구체적인 방안으로 글쓰기클리닉 첨삭지도의활성화와 교과 연계 글쓰기 프로그램의 정착화,글쓰기 전문가 양성 프로젝트와 같은단계별 수준별 글쓰기 집중 코스 등을 비교과 글쓰기 프로그램의 내실화를 위한 방안으로 살펴보았다.또한 우수인재 양성이라는 대학의 사회적 책무는 효율적인 교육 환경을 마련하고자 하는 대학의 의지가 우선적으로 전제되어야 함을 지적하면서 바람직한 글쓰기 교육의 변화의 방향을 모색하였다.

영문 초록

At the center of the change in university education to foster communication ability lies the stable and systematic establishment of writing education. Communication ability is a core competency for students. In particular, instructing talented college students, who will later assume positions of responsibility, is linked to writing ability that can be acquired through thinking and expression. In response, Korean universities are planning and running extra-curricular writing programs as an alternative to regular curriculum writing education to meet the increasing demands of students who want to improve their writing ability. This paper suggests that universities should focus more on ways to improve the quality of writing programs. Universities should apply the method of “select and focus” to establish writing programs that have the greatest academic effect on students’ writing ability instead of expanding excessively extra-curricular writing programs because their extraordinary expansion rather undermines the authenticity of writing education. The paper describes various methods for promoting universitybased writing education that is essential to initiate a writing clinic correction map. Curriculum-linked writing programs and intensive writing courses should be set up for each level of writing, such as a training project for writing experts, help to internalize the extra-curricular writing programs. In addition, changes toward desirable writing education should be premised on the university s willingness to provide an efficient educational environment. This is part of the university s social responsibility of fostering talented people.
