우량점포를 위한 소매기업의 추월 전략

국문 초록

본 연구는 소매기업의 추월 전략과 우량점포와의 관계를 검증한다. 실증분석을 위하여, 한국 소매시장에서 테스코(홈플러스), 월마트와 까르푸, 이마트, 롯데마트, 지에스마트의 127개 대형마트와 관련된 자료를 수집하였다. 이러한 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 본 연구는 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석법을 통해 가설을 검증한다. 우량점포를 위한 소매기업의 추월 전략에 관한 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소매기업의 후발점포 전략은 우량점포에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 소매기업의 점포입지 전략은 우량점포에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 소매기업의 토지가치 전략은 우량점포에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 소매기업의 점포규모 전략은 우량점포에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 소매기업의 추월 전략을 확인하는 데 목적이 있다. 소매기업은 우량점포를 위한 후발점포, 점포입지, 토지가치 및 점포규모의 추월 전략을 선택하고, 일치시키고, 집중해야 그들의 단점을 극복할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study examines the relationships between the catch-up strategies and high-performance stores of retailers. As an empirical methodology, this study collects the sample data related to 127 hypermarket stores of retailers such as Tesco(Home plus), Wal-Mart & Carrefour, E-mart, Lotte-mart, and Gs-mart in the Korean retail market. Based on the data, this paper examines hypotheses through the binary logistic regression method. The study results, in terms of the catch-up strategies of retailers for high-performance stores, are as follows. First of all, the strategy of late-entrant stores has a positive influence on the high-performance stores. Second, the strategy of store location has a positive influence on the high-performance stores. Third, the strategy of land value has a positive influence on the high-performance stores. Last but not least, the strategy of store scale has a positive influence on the high-performance stores. This study attempted to identify strategies in terms of how to catch up with indigenous stores. For overcoming their own disadvantages, retailers should choose, match, and focus on the following important strategies of retailers for high-performance stores: late-entrant store, store location, land value, and store scale.
