고려 말 性理學 서적의 수용과 성리학적 문학 담론 양상 고찰

국문 초록

고려 말 性理學 서적과 주요 인물들에 대한 정보는 이미 널리 알려져 있다. 하지만 성리학의 수용이 성리학적 문학관의 이해를 동반한 것은 아니다. ‘성리학적 문학관’이라는 것은 실체는 없지만, 성리학을 수용한 지식인들에게 문학에 대한 인식 변화를 유도했다. 이에 대해 구체적으로 무엇이 어떻게 변했고, 그 실마리가 되는 생각은 어디서 유래했는지는 좀 더 세부적으로 밝힐 필요가 있었다. 본고에서는 서적의 수용이라는 외부적 관점에서 성리학적 문학관의 기원을 밝혀보고자 했다. 사상의 轉移는 서적의 수용도 하나의 動因이 될 수 있기 때문이다. 일단 성리학을 수용하기 전에는 蘇軾과 黃庭堅의 기교를 배우기 위해 골몰했다면, 성리학을 배운 이력이 있는 白文寶의 경우 經典에 나오는 문구들을 인용하여 성리학적 문학관을 피력했다. 그런데 그가 주로 언급한 내용이나 표현은 『四書集註』와 『近思錄』에서 비롯된 것이었다. 다음으로 고려에 들어온 성리학 텍스트들을 조사해서 구체적인 서지 정보를 획득하고, 그것을 바탕으로 그 속에 있는 문학 담론들을 추출하여 의미를 해석해 보았다. 실제로 고려로 들어온 성리학 서적들을 검토해 본 결과, 성리학적 문학관을 비교적 선명하게 인식할 수 있는 텍스트는 『四書集註』와 『近思錄』이었다. 그렇지만 고려 말에 성리학을 접한 지식인들은 극소수에 불과하고, 성리학 서적 속에 산발적으로 담긴 성리학적 문학관을 인지하고 창작으로 옮겨가는 과정은 오랜 시간이 필요했던 것으로 보인다. 성리학을 배우고 인식의 변화를 보이는 자료들도 있지만, 여전히 기존의 문학관을 고수하거나 완전히 벗어나지 못하는 모습을 보이기도 했다. 그러나 이것은 성리학적 문학관을 처음 인식하여 이해하는 과정에서 보이는 과도기적인 모습으로, 매우 자연스러운 과정이라고 생각한다.

영문 초록

Information on books concerned Neo-Confucianism and key figures at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty is already widely known. However, the acceptance of Neo-Confucianism does not accompany the understanding of the Neo-Confucian Literature Ideas. ‘the Neo-Confucian Literature Ideas’ doesn t really exist, induced the intellectuals who embraced Neo-Confucianism to change their perception of literature. In particular, it was necessary to reveal in more detail what has changed and where the idea of the clue originates. In this book, I wanted to reveal the origin of the Neo-Confucian Literary Ideas from an external perspective of accepting books. This is because the acceptance of books can be a factor in the movement of thought. Once they had been bent on learning So Sik(蘇軾) & Hwang Jeong Gyun(黃庭堅) s skills before accepting Neo-Confucianism, Baek Mun-bo(白文寶), who has a history of learning Neo-Confucianism, the Neo-Confucian Literary Ideas was expressed by quoting the phrases in the Confucian classics. But what he mainly mentioned or expressed was derived from Sishu jizhu(『四書集註』) & Jinsilu(『近思錄』). Next, I examined the Neo-Confucian texts that entered Goryeo to obtain specific bibliographic information, and based on them, I extracted the literary discourse in it and interpreted the meaning. After examining the biblical books that actually came into Goryeo, Sishu jizhu(『四書集註』) & Jinsilu(『近思錄』) was the text that could recognize the Neo-Confucian literature relatively clearly. However, only a small number of intellectuals encountered Neo-Confucianism at the end of the Goryeo, and the process of recognizing and moving to creative Neo-Confucian literature sporadically contained in Neo-Confucian books seems to have taken a long time. Some materials show a change in perception and learning Neo-Confucianism, but others still stick to existing literary views or fail to completely deviate from them. But this is a transitional form seen in the process of first recognizing and understanding Neo-Confucian Literature Ideas, and I think it is a very natural process.
