대학교 신입생의 토익에 대한 학습 방법 및 성과에 대한 비교 분석

국문 초록

온라인 학습과 면대면 학습을 통해 토익성과를 비교·분석하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. A 대학교 2014년 신입생 중에서 온라인 토익을 수강 신청한 학생 142명과 면대면 강의를 수강 신청한 학생 332명을 대상으로 모의토익 시험 결과를 비교하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다: 1) 온라인 학습에서는 여학생 비율이, 면대면 학습에서는 남학생 비율이 높음을 확인할 수 있었다. 2) 계열별로 온라인 학습과 면대면 학습 수강생 비율간 차이에 있어 사회과학계열의 비율은 온라인에서, 면대면 학습의 비율은 공학계열과 인문계열에서 높음을 확인할 수 있었다. 3) 독립표본 t-검정 결과 LC 성적의 최대값만이 면대면 학습의 성적이 온라인 학습의 성적보다 낫고 나머지에서는 모두 온라인 학습의 성적이 뛰어남을 알 수 있었다. 4) 삼원분산분석결과 교호작용들은 통계적 유의성이 없었으며 온라인 학습에 의한 RC 성적들이 면대면 학습보다 좋은 것으로 분석되었다. 5) 온라인 학습과 면대면 학습의 개선정도에 통계적 유의성이 있었으며 면대면 학습의 개선정도가 온라인 학습의 개선정도보다 약 1.8배 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 온라인 학습이 면대면 학습방법의 성과보다 낫다고 할 수 있는 객관적이고 보편적인 사실을 증명하는 데는 한계점이 있으며, 혼합학습의 성과와 비교하지 못한 점 또한 한계점으로 지적된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to verify the effect of TOEIC of university freshmen by the learning methods. The sample is 142 students enrolled online TOEIC and 332 students enrolled face-to-face TOEIC and TOEIC test results of the students are compared and analyzed in this study. The results of this research are as the followings: First, it showed that there are significant differences between male and female by online and face-to-face learning methods. Second, also it showed that there are significant differences among categories (humanities, social sciences, engineering, natural sciences, and arts & physical education) by online and face-to-face learning methods. Third, as one-way ANOVA results, LC TOEIC score (MAX) of face-to-face learning are better than those of online learning. The other results of online learning are better than those of face-to-face learning. Fourth, as three-way ANOVA results, there are not the interaction effects in the model. The main effects of RC scores in the online learning are statistically significant. Finally, there are is a statistically significant improvement in face-to-face learning to online learning. That is, the improvement of face-to-face learning has been analyzed to approximately 1.8 times higher than the improvement of online learning.
