간호과정 교육프로그램이 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 우수간호임상사례와 그룹역동을 이용한 간호과정 교육프로그램을 개발하고 개발된 프로그램이 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향에 미치는 효과를 파악하기 위하여 시도되었다. 프로그램개발은 문헌고찰을 통해 전문가 자문을 거쳐 개발하였으며 총 14주프로그램으로 진행되었다. 효과검증은 일개 대학 2학년 87명을 대상으로 하였으며 2012년 9월부터 12월까지 한 학기 동안 총 14주프로그램으로 진행되었다. 프로그램 효과측정은 비판적 사고성향도구를 이용하여 단일그룹 사전 사후 측정을 하였고 최종 81명의 자료를 SAS 9.12버전을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 비판적 사고성향 중 자신감(p<.004), 지적 공정성(p<.001), 지적 열정/호기심(p<.001), 체계성 영역(p<.001)의 점수는 프로그램 참여 전보다 참여 후 증가하였고 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 반면 객관성, 건전한 회의성, 신중성은 프로그램 참여 전보다 참여 후 증가하였으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 간호사의 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 지적 공정성, 지적 열정/호기심 영역이 본 프로그램 적용 후 증가하였으므로 우수간호임상사례와 그룹역동을 이용한 본 간호과정 교육프로그램이 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향 향상 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 그러나 본 연구결과는 일개 간호 대학 학생을 대상으로 단일군 전후 실험설계로 진행되었으므로 시간의 경과에 따른 비판적 사고성향의 향상효과를 배제할 수 없기 때문에 대조군을 포함한 반복 연구를 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study was performed to develop and evaluate the nursing process education program using clinical excellence exemplars and group dynamics and to determine its effect on critical thinking disposition of nursing students. This 14-week program was developed based on the literature review followed by consultation with experts in this area. 87 nursing school sophomores of a university participated in this study for one semester from September to December 2012. Program efficacy was measured in a single group pre- and post-test using critical thinking disposition tools. The data of 81 subjects were analyzed using the SAS 9.12 version. The results showed that, among critical thinking dispositions, scores of self-confidence (p<0.004), intellectual fairness (p<0.001), intellectual passion/ curiosity (p<0.001), systemicity (p<0.001) were improved with statistically significant differences. On the other hand, objectivity, healthy skepticism, prudence were improved but without significant difference. As critical thinking dispositions of intellectual fairness, intellectual passion/curiosity, prudence has been reported to influence clinical performance of a nurse, the program can be effective in improving students clinical performances after graduation. However, because this study was conducted with a single group of one nursing college students and cannot exclude the possibility that the critical thinking disposition could improve as time passes, it is necessary to have a repeat study that includes a control group.
