6x6 라틴방격을 이용한 3x2 요인실험의 검정력 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 요인실험을 두 블록요인과의 교락을 최소화하기 위한 라틴방격을 이용한 실험모형인 6x6 라틴방격을 이용한 3x2 요인실험에 대하여 모수적 통계량 및 순위변환 통계량의 검정력을 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 실시하였다. 종합적으로 주효과 및 상호작용효과를 검정하기 위한 모수적 통계량 및 순위변환 통계량의 검정력은 효과크기, 효과 구성형태, 셀내의 반복회수 및 오차항의 모집단 분포에 상관없이 거의 모든 상황에서 유사한 검정력을 보인다. 한편 주효과 검정을 위한 순위변환 통계량의 제1종 오류율과 유의수준은 상당히 비슷한 수준을 유지하며, 상호작용효과 검정을 위한 순위변환 통계량의 제1종 오류율은 유의수준을 이탈하여 다소 상회한다. 즉 6x6 라틴방격을 이용한 3x2 요인실험의 주효과 검정을 위한 순위변환 기법은 모수적 기법의 대안으로 유용할 수 있으며, 상호작용효과 검정을 위한 순위변환 기법은 보다 신중히 고려할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This research conducted a simulation to study the parametric statistic and the rank transformed statistic in power when the experimental design is a 3x2 factorial experiment by using a 6x6 latin square. Overall, the powers of the parametric statistic and the rank transformed statistic for testing main and interaction effects turned out to be very similar regardless of effect sizes, effect compositions, replications per cell and error distribution types. Meanwhile, type I error and significance level of the rank transformed statistic for testing main effect were observed to be similar. Further, type I error of the rank transformed statistic for testing interaction effect were observed to be a few higher. Thus, the rank transformation for testing main effect for a 3x2 factorial experiment by using a 6x6 latin square is useful as an alternative for the parametric technique, whereas the rank transformation for testing interaction effect needs more carefulness.
