고령친화산업과 관련한 노인 라이프스타일의 요인 및 군집분석

국문 초록

한국사회의 고령화가 급속히 진행되면서 그에 따라 발생하게 되는 사회경제적 영향을 평가하고 적절한 정책을 수립할 필요가 있다. 그러한 정책 수립을 위해 최근 많은 연구들이 진행되고 결과들이 발표되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 55세 이상의 고령자 500여명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과를 이용하여 노인들의 라이프스타일에 대한 요인분석과 군집분석으로 분석하여 7개의 요인을 추출하고 6개의 라이프스타일에 따른 군집을 분류하였다. 7개의 요인을 해석한 결과 위에서 그를 기반으로 6개의 군집에 대한 특성을 분석하고 각각을 정의하였다. 또한 각 군집에서 고령친화용품의 전반적인 수요와 고령친화용품 제조업체에서 활용할 수 있는 기본 정보를 살펴보면, 고령이면서 건강이 좋지 않은 군집이 고령친화제품에 대한 수요가 가장 큰 집단이며, 건강하고 활발하게 활동하는 군집은 고령친화제품의 수요는 적지만 경제력과 활동범위와 적극성을 고려한다면 중요한 군집으로 분류될 수 있으며, 가장 평균적인 군집은 고령친화제품에 대한 참조집단으로 고려할 수 있는 군집 등으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

Rapid progress to the aged society in Korea requires the assessment of socioeconomic influence and the establishment of adequate policies. This study is prepared for this purpose, and we want to make some contribution through survey and analysis results. The data was collected from 527 aged persons and analyzed using SAS 9.1. We used the factor analysis and identified 7 underlying factors such as social activity, health condition, economical status, purchase pattern and so on. We, also, used the cluster analysis and divided the respondents into 6 groups with relatively homogeneous lifestyles. These 6 groups were compared with respect to factor scores and needs for senior products. In addition, the overall demand of the senior products industry in each cluster and senior-friendly goods manufacturers can leverage the following basic information. 1) in the demand for senior-friendly products, a cluster of elderly and poor health is the largest group, 2) a cluster of healthy and activity less demands senior-friendly products, but in view of economic power, activity range, that cluster can be classified as critical, 3) the most average cluster can be considered as a reference group for senior-friendly products.
