도시노인의 자가평가 건강수준 및 관련 요인

국문 초록

본 연구는 인구 10만 이상의 도시에 거주하는 재가노인을 대상으로 자가평가 건강수준과 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하여 건강한 노년과 성공적 노화를 위한 맞춤형 노인 건강증진 프로그램의 기초 자료를 제공하기 위하여 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 65세 이상 도시노인 총 191명이며 자료수집은 개별면담을 병행한 질문지법으로 이루어졌다. 도시노인의 자가평가 건강수준은 5.08(10점 만점)이었으며 학력, 동거형태, 월수입, 현재질환수, 일상생활활동정도, 운동여부, 주당 외출일, 사회활동참여에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 기분상태는 1.38(4점 만점), 자기효능감은 2.77(4점 만점), 생활만족은 5.97(10점 만점)이었다. 도시노인의 자가평가 건강수준에 영향을 미치는 요인은 생활만족, 기분상태, 현재 질환수와 운동여부였으며 40.2%의 설명력을 보였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 도시노인을 표적대상으로 하는 맞춤형 건강증진 프로그램의 개발이 요구되며 노인의 자가평가 건강수준을 지속적으로 향상시키기 위한 전략이 모색되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The study was done to identify the self rated health status and its related factors in the elderly. Method: The subjects were 191 elders of convenience sampling method from urban area, Korea. The self rated health status and life satisfaction were assessed by a single-item VAS ranging from 0 to 10. The tools for the study were the K-POMS-B and Korean version of GSES. Data were collected through personal interviews using questionnaires from April to September 2007. Result: The mean scores of the self rated health status, mood states, self-efficacy, and life satisfaction were 5.08(total 10), 1.38 (total 4), 2.77(total 4), and 5.97(total 10), respectively. 27.8% of the subjects perceived their health status as ‘not healthy’. Significant factors associated with the self rated health status were education, living arrangements, family income, and number of present illness, ADL, exercise, leave day, and social activity. The self rated health status is influenced by life satisfaction, mood state, number of present illness, and exercise which explained 40.2% of variance in the self rated health status. Conclusions: Based on the study results, the tailor-made programs to enhance the self rated health status for the urban elderly need to be developed.
