무관질문 확률화응답기법을 이용한 민감한 속성에 대한 모비율의 구간추정

국문 초록

사회적으로나 개인적으로 민감한 속성에 대한 조사에서 응답자들은 자신의 개인정보가 노출될 것을 염려하여 응답을 꺼리거나 거짓응답을 하려는 경향이 있다. 이러한 문제에 대해 Warner (1965)는 확률장치를 이용한 확률화응답기법을 제안하였다. 또한 Greenberg et al.(1969)은 Warner 모형을 확장하여 민감한 속성에 대한 질문과 관련이 없는 질문을 제시한 무관질문모형을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 민감한 속성에 대한 모비율에 대해 상대적으로 출현빈도가 적은 이항비율의 신뢰구간을 추정하는 문제를 다루었다. 근사적인 정규분포의 가정 하에서 널리 활용되는 Wald 신뢰구간은 출현빈도가 매우 작을 경우 신뢰구간의 하한이 음수가 나타나는 현상이 발생하기 때문에 이를 해결하기 위해 Wilson score 신뢰구간, Agresti-Coull 신뢰구간, Jeffreys 신뢰구간을 활용한 민감한 속성에 대한 모비율의 구간추정을 제안하였다. 또한 층화무관질문기법에 대해 각 층별 모비율에 대한 구간추정 문제를 각각의 신뢰구간을 적용하여 구하였다. 제안된 방법의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 모의실험과 실제 조사자료 분석을 실시하였으며, 평균 포함확률을 이용하여 각각의 신뢰구간의 효율성을 평가하였다.

영문 초록

The respondents often tend to refuse or false response for the question concerning about disclosure personal information in survey of sensitive attribute social or individual. For this problem Warner (1965) suggested the randomized response mode using the randomization device. Also Greenberg, Abul-Ela, Simmons, Horvitz (1969) suggested the unrelated question model extended the Warner model that ask unrelated question replaced by related question in Warner model. In this paper we consider the interval estimation of population proportion of a rare and sensitive attribute using the unrelated randomized response model. When the proportion is very small, Wald confidence may has a negative value of lower bound of confidence interval which widely used under asymptotic normal distribution to interval estimation. To resolve this problem we consider the Wilson score, AC, and Jeffreys confidence intervals for interval estimation of a sensitive attribute. In addition we consider that the interval estimation of the population proportion with a rare sensitive attribute using the stratified unrelated question model. Finally, we perform simulation study and real survey data analysis to evaluate the confidence intervals using the mean coverage probability.
