청초 동북지역의 유배 문인과 시 창작

국문 초록

청나라 초기는 통치기반을 확립하기 위해 한족 지식인에 대한 사상을 통제하였다. 그리고 통치 세력의 안정에 저촉된 사람들은 성경(盛京)·상양보(尙陽堡)·영고탑(寧古塔) 등 동북의 변방으로 유배되었다. 그들은 문자옥·과장안(科場案)·통해안(通海案)·도인법(逃人法) 등의 원인으로 유배되어, 동북지역의 특수한 사회 군체로서 유배자 집단을 형성하였다. 특히 순치(順治) 초기에 과거제도가 회복되자 과거시험 관련한 부정행위가 잇달아 등장했고, 이를 어긴 한족 지식인들을 유배나 사형 등으로 엄격하게 처벌했다. 이를 과장안(科場案)이라고 하며 이 사건과 연루된 사람들은 대부분 문인들이었다. 유배에 대한 연구는 주로 정치, 역사 부분에서 주로 다루어져왔고, 문학적인 면에서는 상대적으로 적게 다루어져왔다. 따라서 본고는 ‘동북지역의 문학(문화)’에 주목하였다. 구체적으로 순치 14년(1657)의 정유과장안 중에 강남위과장안(江南闈科場案)으로 연루된 시인 오조건(吳兆騫: 1631-1684)을 대상으로, 그의 유배 생활과 시 창작을 집중적으로 분석하고자 한다. 본고는 기존의 문학·지역학·역사학의 자료와 내용을 토대로 하여, 크게 세 부분으로 나누어 진행하고자 한다. 먼저 청초 동북지역의 유배상황과 영고탑의 지리적, 시대적 상황 및 그곳에서의 오조건의 유배생활을 살펴보고, 다음으로 영고탑에서의 시 창작의 특징을 분석하고, 끝으로 동북지역 유배 문인과 오조건에 대한 평가와 영향에 대해 살펴본다. 이를 통해 청초 지식인에 대한 통제와 유배제도 속에서 살아간 유배문인들의 삶과 동북지역의 지리적 환경, 시 창작의 특징 및 시인의 심리변화 등을 이해하고, 나아가 문학과 지역학의 융합 연구의 특징을 일부 파악할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

In the early Qing Dynasty, to strengthen the rule over intellectuals of the Han people, Qing Government exercised thought control over them. The government banished people whom they presumed to be against the ruling power, to the frontiers of Dong Bei— such as Sheng Jing(盛京), Sang Yang Pu(尙陽堡), and Ning Gu Ta (寧古塔). They were banished to Dong Bei district, because of their involvement in literary persecution, “incidents” in examinations, overseas trade, and runaway law cases, where they formed a society of exiles. Especially in the early Qing Dynasty, the revival of the civil service examination system led to repeated malpractice in examination, and the Hans intellectuals who violated examination rules were strictly punished with banishment or death sentence. Such cases were called as “incidents” in examinations, and the people therein involved were mostly Hans literary persons. Study on banishment has been mainly dealt with in the field of politics and history until now. This paper has focused on “the literature (culture) of Dong Bei district” which has been rarely studied in literary history. Therefore, the life of exile and poetic creation of Wu Zhao Qian (吳兆騫), who was involved in Jiangnanwei case with the “Ding You Incidents in Examinations” that happened in Shun Zhi 14th year (1657), is mainly analyzed in this study. The content is broadly divided into three parts: First, an analysis of the life of exile in Dong Bei district in early Qing Dynasty; second, an analysis of the life of exile of Wu Zhao Qian, and his poetic style and meaning; third, an examination of the influences of the exiled literary people and Wu Zhao Qian on Dong Bei literature, and its evaluation.
