입지특성이 이동통신 소매매장 수익성에 미치는 영향분석 - 부산, 울산, 경남지역을 중심으로 -

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 부산, 울산, 경남지역에서 이동통신 소매매장의 매출액과 판매량에 미치는 입지의 영향력을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 지역특성, 소매매장의 일반특성, 통신매장 특성, 소매상권 특성별로 변수를 설정하여 이동통신 매장 428개에서 필요한 데이터를 수집하고 GLS 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 부산, 울산, 경남지역에 따라 월 매출액과 판매량 에 통계적으로 유의한 변수에 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 부산의 경우 자가 매장, 매장규모, 매장 인력 수, 업무처리 고객 수, ARPU 그리고 인구수가 이동통신 매장의 월 매출액에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 울산은 매장 인력 수, 업무처리 고객 수만 월 매출액에 영향을 주었고, 경남의 경우 업무처리 고객 수, 임대료 지불총액이 월 매출액에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 판매량에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석한 결과, 부산의 경우는 자가, 매장규모, 매장인력 수, 업무처리 고객 수, 임대료 지불총액, 인구수가 월 판매량에 영향을 미치는것으로 나타났다. 울산지역은 매장인력 수, 업무처리 고객 수, ARPU가 판매량에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 경남지역의 경우 자가 매장, 업무처리 고객 수, 임대료 지불총액이 판매 량에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과 주요 입지요인 소매상권(trade area) 만을 기준으로 이동통신매장을 개설하는 것은 수익성 측면에서 바람직하지 않다고 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of location on profitability of wireless retailers in Pusan, Ulsan and Kyungnam area. For this purpose, this study has selected variable for regional characteristics, general store characteristics, wireless retailers characteristics, and trade area characteristics. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we have collected 428 data from wireless retailers stores and used the generalized linear model, GLS, as a methodology. As a result, there were differences in the statistically significant variables in sales amount and sales volume according to the regions. The results are as following: In Pusan, ownership-type, store size, number of staff, number of transactional clients, ARPU, and size of district population are significant factors on monthly sales revenues. In case of Ulsan, only the number of staff and transactional clients are found relevant. Kyungnam shows that only transactional clients and rent variables are significant. As to sales volume, ownership-type, store size, rent, and population are significant variables in Pusan. However, in Ulsan, number of staff, number of transactional clients, ARPU have influence on sales volume. In Kyungnam, ownership-type, number of transactional clients, and rent are significant factors. The results of this study suggest that it is not desirable to open a wireless retail store based solely on trade area in terms of profitability.
