성별 및 거주기간에 따른 거주환경 및 주민활동 인지차이에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 대구광역시 시민 3,000명을 대상으로 응답자의 성별 및 거주기간에 따른 거주환경 및 주민 간 교류정도에 대한 인식차이와 주민조직 참여정도를 알아보고자 하였다. 설문지는 응답자 특성, 거주공간의 교통 환경, 주거 환경, 안전 환경, 주민 간 교류, 주민조직 참여 등 총 29개 문항들로 구성되었다. 독립표본 T검정(t-test)과 분산분석(ANOVA)을 연구방법으로 사용하였으며, 통계적으로 유의한 문항별 거주기간 차이에 대해서는 사후분석(Post-hoc analysis)을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 성별 및 거주기간에 따라 거주환경 및 주민 간 교류에 대한 인지 및 주민조직 참여정도가 상이하다는 점을 발견하였다. 특히 남성보다는 여성이 거주기간에 따른 인지차이가 큰 것으로 분석되었다. 대체로 남녀 모두 거주기간이 10년 이상 20년 이하인 경우 거주환경에 대한 만족감이 높고 불안감은 낮으며 주민 간 친밀도 및 주민조직 참여현황이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구를 통해 정책입안자들이 낙후 공간에 대한 재생계획 수립 시 주민들의 세부특성을 충분히 반영하기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out the differences of perceptions on residential environments and community activities depending on gender and residence periods in Daegu. Survey questionnaires were composed of 29 questionnaires in 5 fields - traffic environment, residential environment, safety environment, community activities, community organization participation, and total 3,000 surveys were collected for analyses. The independent-sample t-test, ANOVA, and post-hoc analysis were applied. Results showed that the gender and residence periods influenced the perceptions on residential environments and community activities. Especially, the degree of women’s perception was highly affected by residence periods compared to that of men’s perception. In general, men and women whose residence periods were between 10 to 20 years showed higher dwelling satisfaction, lower anxiety, higher level of attachments to neighbors, and higher community activity participations. It is expected that study results would be helpful for urban policy makers to consider the difference by gender and residence periods in perceptions on residential environments and community activities when they prepare for urban regeneration plan.
