등재본 「염불육자법문」 의 소개와 국어학적 고찰

국문 초록

이 글에서는 이제껏 내용이 알려지지 않았던 새로운 자료인「염불육자법문[南無阿彌陀佛]」을 소개하고, 등재본으로서의 서지적 성격을 고찰한 뒤, 국어학적 성격을 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. ‘등재본(登梓本)’은 판각이 되지 않은 유일한 자료이므로, 자료로서의 가치가 매우 높으며, 특히, 이 자료-「염불육자법문」은 아직 밝혀진 바 없는 것이다. 「염불육자법문」은 표제 ‘淸쳥凉량答답順슌宗종心심要요法법門문’이라는 책에 합철되어 있는 6종의 자료 중 마지막의 것이다. ‘念佛六字法門’이라는 제목과 ‘眞空普覺禪師 ’라는 주해자를 확인할 수 있으며, ‘崇禎三年(1631년)’이라는 발문으로 이 자료를 서사한 시기를 추정할 수 있다. 이 자료는 ‘南無阿彌陀佛(나무아미타불)’ 6자에 대한 뜻을 해석한 것을 중심으로, 내용 구성상 세 부분으로 구분할 수 있다. 앞부분에서는 육자법문의 찬술 의도와 배경 및 과정, 육자법문의 신통력에 대한 내용 등이 있다. 이어, 본 내용에서는 ‘南·無·阿·彌·陀·佛’을 한 자씩 내세워 글자의 의미와 가치에 대해 설명하고 있다. 마지막 부분에서는 ‘나무아미타 불’ 6자의 법문을 대하는 중생을 향한 당부와 염원을 담고 있다. 등재본으로서 다수의, 수정 흔적(교체, 기입, 삭제)이 드러나며, 누락(한자음, 한자) 및 국어학적인 특성으로는 표기 및 음운에서는 초기 훈민정음에서 보이는 다양한 음소들 이 거의 사라지고, 초성에서 ‘ㅇ, ㅅ, ㅈ, ㄴ, ㅎ, ㄹ, ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅁ, ㅂ, ㅌ, ㅊ, ㅳ, ㅍ, ㅺ, ㅼ, ㅋ, ㅶ’(빈도율순), 중성에서 ‘ㆍ, ㅕ, ㅣ, ㅏ, ㅗ, ㆎ, ㅡ, ㅑ, ㅓ, ㅔ. ㅜ, ㅖ, ㅛ, ㅠ, ㅘ, ㅐ, ㅢ, ㅚ, ㅝ, ㅟ, ㆌ’, 종성에서 ‘ㅁ, ㅇ, ㄹ, ㄴ, ㄱ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㄷ’가 쓰였다. 표기방식으로는 분철의 경향이 뚜렷하며 간혹 중철도 보인다. 원순모음화는 일어나지 않았으며, ‘올치, 가져’와 같이 ‘ㄷ’ 구개음화된 표기를 찾을 수 있다. 한자음의 표기에서도 ‘ㄷ’ 구개음화의 표기가 다수 드러난다.

영문 초록

This research is to introduce the new content of 「Yeombur-yukjabeommun」 which has previously unknown, to examine the bibliographical a spect of the final manuscript written for the woodblock print, and to ex amine the aspect of Korean linguistics. As ‘the final manuscript written for the woodblock print’ is the only material that has not engraved, it is highly valuable as a material. In particular, the title of 「Yeombur-yukjabeommun」 has not been proven yet. 「Yeombur-yukjabeommun」 is the last of the six materials that are combined with the book titled Chyeongnyang-dap-sunjong-simyo-beommun . It can be checked the title 「Yeomburyukjabeommun」 and the annotator(interpreter) Jingong-bogakseonsa . It is possible to estimate the time when the material was narrated with the heading Sungjeong-samyeon (1631). This material is an interpretation of the six letters of ‘Namuamitabul’ and contains the purpose and background of the creation of Yukjabeommun which is the six letters Buddhist writings, the process of establishing the six letters theory, the value of the six letters theory and the attitude toward the Buddhist scriptures, the meaning of ‘Namuamitabul’ letters and supernatural powers, and the request and desire for all people deal with Yukjabeommun. As a feature of the final manuscript written for the woodblock print, the revised traces (replacement, recording, deletion) revealed, and some omissions (the sound of Chinese characters, Chinese characters) and errors also showed. In Korean linguistic features, various phonemes shown in the initial Hunminjeongeum almost disappeared in the notation and phoneme. The beginning sound used with ‘ㅇ, ㅅ, ㅈ, ㄴ, ㅎ, ㄹ, ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅁ, ㅂ, ㅌ, ㅊ, ㅳ, ㅍ, ㅺ, ㅼ, ㅋ, ㅶ’ (the frequency order). The middle sound used with ‘ㆍ, ㅕ, ㅣ, ㅏ, ㅗ, ㆎ, ㅡ, ㅑ, ㅓ, ㅔ. ㅜ, ㅖ, ㅛ, ㅠ, ㅘ, ㅐ, ㅢ, ㅚ, ㅝ, ㅟ, ㆌ’. And the final sound used with ‘ㅁ, ㅇ, ㄹ, ㄴ, ㄱ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㄷ’. The notation method showed a trend of the syllabification and sometimes showed the double spelling. There is no vowel roundedness and sometimes found the palatalized notation such as ‘olchi’ and ‘gajyeo’. A number of notations after palatalization showed in the notation of the sound of Chinese characters.
