국문 초록

본 연구는 ‘2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 초·중학교 교과 교육과정의 적용과 질 관 리 방안’이라는 총괄 연구 가운데 하나로, 2013년 초등학교 및 중학교에 연차적으로 적용되는 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 미술과 교육과정의 성공적인 현장 정착을 위한 실천적 대안을 제시하고자 마련된 것이다. 2009 개정 교육과정부터 교육과정 해설서 가 제공되지 않기 때문에 오는 불편함을 해소하고 교과서가 현장에 적용되지 않은 상태에서 보다 구체적인 대안 마련을 목적으로 실시한 초등학교 교사 및 중학교 미 술교사 대상 설문조사를 토대로 다음과 같은 세 가지 교육과정 적용 방안에 중점을 두어 논의하였다. 첫째, 공통 교육과정의 축소에 따라 초등학교 5, 6학년 수준으로 내려온 기존의 중학교 ‘활용 중심의 학습 경험’을 위한 적용 방안, 둘째, 중학교 수준 으로 내려온 기존의 고등학교 ‘비판적 사고 중심의 학습 경험’을 위한 적용 방안, 마 지막으로 셋째, 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 미술과 교육과정 ‘감상’ 영역에 새롭게 도입된 ‘미술비평’ 및 ‘미술사’을 위한 적용 방안 등이 그것이다. 앞으로 2009 개정 교 육과정에 따른 미술과 교육과정의 적용을 위한 교육과정의 재구성을 독려하기 위하 여 다양한 예시 제공이 뒤따라야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is part of the main research of ‘A study on the application and quality management of 2009 rev. Korean National Curriculum in primary and middle school’ by KICE(Korean Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation). The purpose of the study were 1) to help the new Korean National Curriculum be established firmly in school setting, and 2) to suggest practical alternatives. 2009 rev. Korean National Curriculum covers G1 through G9 instead of G10, thus critical thinking abilities which was developed in the stage of G10 should be reinforced at the last stage of the curriculum of G9. Although critical thinking abilities are important in each of curriculum contents of ‘Experience’, ‘Expression’, and ‘Art Appreciation’, class activities in ‘Art Appreciation’ were presented. ‘Sensory property-based’ → ‘basic concepts-based’ → ‘application-based’ → ‘value-based’ curriculum contents organization vs. ‘sensory property-focused’ → ‘basic concepts and skill-focused’ → ‘application skill and methods-focused’ → ‘critical thinking-focused’ learning experiences were compared. Especially application skill and methods-focused learning experiences in G5 & G6 stage were discussed. Finally application methods on the new sub concepts of ‘art history’ and ‘art criticism’ in ‘Art Appreciation’ area of 2009 rev. Korean National Art Curriculum were suggested. To strengthen learner-centered National curriculum, on-going quality management and control should be reinforced and maintained. For its successful settlement and activation, more detailed and various instructional materials and mentoring system should be followed.
