대학생의 학습참여에 영향을 미치는 수업환경과 학습자 요인 간의 구조적 관계

국문 초록

학습참여가 교육성과를 대변할 수 있다는 최근 연구 결과에 따라, 본 연구는 대학 생의 학습참여를 수업환경 및 학습자 요인으로 설명하는 모델을 상정하고 선정된 변 인 간의 구조적 관계를 검증하였다. 선행연구 고찰을 통해 수업환경 요인에는 지각 된 교수자의 자율성지지와 수업목표구조를 선정하였고, 학습자 요인에는 자율적 동 기와 학업적 의지통제를 선정하였다. 국내 대학생 282명의 자료를 수집하여 모형의 적합도와 변인들 간의 관계를 구조방정식모형으로 분석한 결과, 수업환경 요인이 학 습자 요인을 매개로 학습참여에 영향을 미치는 모형은 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 구 체적으로 학습자가 지각하는 자율성지지는 자율적 동기와 학업적 의지통제를 촉진 하여 학습참여를 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 학습자가 지각하는 수업목표구조 에 따라 자율적 동기에는 미치는 영향력은 상이하였으나, 학업적 의지통제는 모두 강화시키는 것으로 분석되었다. 자율적 동기는 학업적 의지통제에 정적인 영향을 미 쳤으며 자율적 동기와 학업적 의지통제는 학습참여에 직접적인 선행요인으로 밝혀 졌다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 학습참여에 직·간접으로 영향을 미치는 요인 간의 관계를 규명하였고, 나아가 대학생의 학습참여 향상을 위한 촉진전략과 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationships among learning environment factors, individual factors, and learning engagement. Based on the literature review, perceived autonomy support and classroom goal structure were chosen as learning environment factors, and autonomous motivation and academic volition control were determined as individual factors. The proposed structural model posits perceived autonomy support and classroom goal structure influence autonomous motivation and academic volition control which in turn influence learning engagement. The model was tested with 282 university students in Korea. The structural equation modeling analysis was used to validate the model and to analyze the causal relationship among variables. As results, perceived autonomy support and classroom mastery goal structure positively influenced autonomous motivation and academic volition control. However, classroom performance-approach goal structure negatively influenced autonomous motivation and positively influenced academic volition control, and classroom performance-avoid goal structure positively influenced academic volition control. Furthermore, autonomous motivation directly and positively influenced academic volition control and learning engagement, and academic volition control also positively influenced learning engagement. The results indicated that autonomous motivation and academic volition control were important predictors to promote learning engagement, and they were mediators between learning environment factors and learning engagement. Some implications to promote learning engagement were discussed based on the findings.
