여자중학생들의 학교성교육경험, 성지식 및 성교육요구도

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 여자중학생을 대상으로 학교 성교육 요구도 및 성 지식 수준 등을 파악하여 예방적 차원의 효율적인 학교 성교육 프로그램 기초자료를 제공하고자 하 였다. 연구대상자는 서울, 경기, 부산, 인천지역 5개교 재학 중인 1, 2, 3학년 630명 의 자료를 최종 분석하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS 21.0 Program을 활용하여 기술통계, χ2-test, t-test등을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 대상자 대부분은 학교성교육을 거의 다 받았으며 도움이 되었다고 응답하였으나, 성지식 점수는 22점 만점에 평균 11.28점 으로 매우 낮았다. 학교성교육은 강화되고 있는 추세이나 학생들의 성지식수준이 낮게나와 성 문제에 노출되더라도 이를 스스로 대처할 능력이 취약하므로 학교 성 교육에 대한 반성과 함께 실제적인 성교육으로의 전환을 검토 할 필요가 있음을 시 사하고 있다. 또한 성 관련위험행동에서는 여중생이라 할지라도 남녀공학에 다니는 여중생들보다 여자중학교 여중생들이 음란물접촉을 더 많이 하는 경향을 보여, 여자 중학교 여중생 대상 음란물 관련 교육이나 지도가 더 필요함이 시사되었다. 여중생 들이 학교에서 더 배우고 싶은 성교육으로는 성 관련 위기상황별 대처방법, 남녀 성 심리차이, 청소년 성보호에 관한 법 순으로 나왔다. 결론적으로 학교성교육은 활발히 진행 되고 있으나 여중생들이 알고 있는 성지식 은 매우 취약하여 학교성교육에 대한 효과성 측면에서 재검토가 필요하며, 여자중학 생들의 성교육 요구를 반영하고 학교유형별 특성을 고려한 학습자 중심의 성교육이 이루어지는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The aim of the study was to determine sexual education, sexual knowledge, and demand on sexual education among female middle school students in different types of schools. It is a descriptive study which would provide fundamental evidence on sexual education in school and appropriate strategies of sexual education for female middle school students. Methods: The study sample consisted of 780 (480 from 2 girl’s, and 300 from 5 co-educational schools) 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades female students in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Incheon and convenience sampling was used. The data was collected using questionnaires and 630(87.2%)were included to analysis χ2-test, t-test were conducted using SPSS21.0 Program. Results: 97.5% of participants received sexual education at school and 75.8% of students at co-educational and 80.8% of students at girl’s middle schools reported that the educations were helpful which appeared to be more of girl’s school student answered positively. Students at both types of schools reported that the most importance issues regarding demands on sexual education in the 1st and 2nd places were the way sofcoping with sexual crisis and the sexual psychological differences between genders, respectively. Conclusion: The findings of the present study suggested the needs of tailored sexual education program considering the characteristics of different types of schools.
