공공 건축물과 창작무용공연을 연계한 어린이 통합교육 사례

국문 초록

본 연구는 안양 예술공원에 위치한 비토 아콘치의 작품 ‘나무 위에 선으로 된 집’ 이라는 건축물과 어린이 창작무용을 통합교육의 차원에서 연계한 사례 연구이다. 본 교육 프로그램은 2010년 6월～7월 사이 약 한 달 간 수행된 것으로 경기도 소재 C유 치원의 5명과 M초등학교 9명, 총 14명(남 2명, 여 12명)의 참여로 이루어졌다. 본 프 로그램은 4주, 주 3회, 1회 2시간씩을 배당하여 총 시수 24시간을 할애했다. 본 프로 그램은 건축물 탐방, 공연 계획 및 창작무용 제작, 발표에 이르는 전 과정을 체험하 는 것이었다. 프로그램 수행 전·후 참여자들 중 유치원생을 제외한 초등학생 9명에 게 심층면담을 실시하였고, 이러한 심층면담과 관찰을 통한 분석으로 다음과 같은 교육적 효과를 고찰할 수 있었다. 첫째, 일상생활 주변의 공공 건축물과 신체표현활 동이 만나 새로운 창작물을 얻을 수 있다는 가능성 확장의 계기가 되었다. 무용이라 는 행위적 활동과 생활 주변의 건축물의 교육적 연계를 통해 감상 중심의 공공 건축 물에 대한 기존 인식이 변화되었다. 둘째, 무용, 공공 건축물과의 통합적 활동 과정 에서 문학적 상상이 확장 되었다. 건축물의 적극적 활용을 통한 신체표현활동이 창 의적으로 진행되면서 이야기 구성, 즉 글쓰기적 상상이 이루어졌다. 셋째, 환경예술 실천 방법에 관한 인식이 이루어졌다. 공공 건축물은 독단적인 존립이 아닌, 주변의 환경과 함께 조화를 이루는 것이 중요하다는 측면, 나아가 신체표현활동 역시 환경 속에서 자연스럽게 얻어지는 독창성을 발견했다는 측면이다.

영문 초록

This is a case study concerning an integrated education that connects children dance with a public building, named Linear Building up in the Trees, a work of Vito Acconci located in Anyang Art Park. The educational program of this study was carried out over a period of about a month in June and July 2010, involving a total of 14 students (2 males and 12 females) who voluntarily participated in the program. 5 of them were enrolled in C kindergarten, and 9 of them were enrolled in M elementary school, both located in Gyeonggi-do. A total of 24 hours (2 hours/session and 3 sessions/week for 4 weeks) were assigned for the program, which involved an experience of undergoing the whole process of visiting to the building as well as planning, designing and giving performance. In-depth interviews with the participants were conducted before and after executing the program. The result of analysis on the interviews and observations are as follows: First, an expansion of physical expression experience was achieved by converting a routine environment to a stage, based on a creative cognition that a trivial routine space can be utilized as a stage for physical expression. Second, an encounter between architecture appreciation and literary imagination was achieved, by having the participants appreciate the building while composing stories through literary imagination based on architecture appreciation. Third, an expansion of cognition about environment art was achieved, by making them understand through the program that a building is not an arbitrary being but harmony is important between a building and its surrounding environment.
