NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램이 중학생의 성취동기와 진로성숙도 및 직업가치관에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램이 중학생의 성취동기와 진로성 숙도 및 직업가치관에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 부산 소재의 D 중학교 1학년 남자 중학생을 대상으로 NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램에 참여를 희망 하는 24명을 선정하여 실험집단과 통제집단에 각 12명씩 배치하였다. 실험집단에게 는 1회기당 45분 주2회 총 12회기의 NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램을 실시하였고 통 제집단은 아무런 처치를 가하지 않았다. 모든 연구가 끝난 후 통제집단에 대해 NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램을 실시하였다. 변인들에 대해 평균과 표준편차를 산 출하고, 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램을 실시한 집단은 통제집단에 비해 중학생의 성취동기 의 하위요인인 과업지향성, 자신감, 미래지향성에서 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램은 중학생의 진로성숙도의 하위요인 중 계획성, 성향, 타협성에서 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 직업가치관 향상에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 없었 으나 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 직업가치관의 평균이 향상 되었고 통제집단은 오 히려 낮아진 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이상의 연구결과는 NLP 기반 진로상담 프로 그램은 중학생들의 성취동기와 진로성숙도 및 직업가치관에 효과가 있으며, NLP 기반 진로상담 프로그램의 효과성을 보여줌으로써 중학교 진로교육을 위한 전문적 인 진로지도와 진로교육 및 상담의 바탕이 되는 기초자료를 제시했다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of NLP Career Counseling Program on the achievement motivation, career maturity and occupational values of middle school students. For this study, the researcher selected 24 first-grade students who were joining a club of career exploration at D middle school located in Seo-gu, Busan, and who wanted to participate in NLP Career Counseling Program. Then, the researcher divided those students into experimental and control groups, consisting of 12 members through random sampling. Then, this study applied 12 sessions of NLP Career Counseling Program to the experimental group in order to determine the effects of the program on the group members’ achievement motivation, career maturity and occupational values. The control group was not treated in any way. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. First, NLP Career Counseling Program is effective in improving middle school students’ achievement motivation. The program positively affects sub-areas of that motivation, or task orientation, self-confidence and future orientation. Second, NLP Career Counseling Program is effective in improving middle school students’ career maturity. In more detail, the program has positive effects on sub-areas of that maturity, or planning, disposition and negotiation. Third, NLP Career Counseling Program has no effect of improving middle school students’ occupational values. That program brings no significant change in any sub-areas of the values. In conclusion, NLP Career Counseling Program has positive effects on middle school students’ achievement motivation and career maturity, except their occupational values. Thus, further studies are needed about how to use the program more effectively and make it more appropriate for the developmental level of middle school students.
