초등학교 수업상황에서 교사 담화의 양상과 교육적 함의

국문 초록

본 연구는 교실에서 학생들의 사회, 문화성을 고려한 접근의 필요성에 따라 수업에서의 교사의 담화를 분석을 통해 그 교육적 함의를 찾고자 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 교사는 남학생에게 더 많은 담화를 사용하며 비지시형태의 담화보다 지시형태의 담화를더 많이 사용하고 있다. 둘째, 비지시형 담화에서 교사는 생각 및 감정의 수용의 담화를 많이 사용하고 있었지만, 그 내용은 학생의 생각과 감정을 명료화하는 단순한 형태의 담화였으며, 담화 유형에 상관없이 지시형 담화 모두는 학생의 행동을 통제하고교사가 원하는 규칙을 반복하고 알려주는 내용이었다. 셋째, 교사들은 대부분 교사의 입장에서 감정이나 생각수용 혹은 칭찬과 격려 등의 담화를 사용하면서도 드러나지않지만 숨겨진 언어로써 교사의 권력을 형성하여 학생을 통제하고 억압하는 도구로 사용한다는 것도 찾아볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find educational implications through discourse analysis of teachers in schools considering the need to access social and cultural orientation of students in classrooms. First, the result shows teachers generally use more discourses with male students in which instructive-pattern discourses are more frequent than non-instructive pattern discourses. Second, while teachers used more of discourses of thoughts and accommodative feelings in non-instructive discourses, the content is a discourse of a simple pattern that clarifies thoughts and feelings of students. Regardless of discourse patterns, all instructive discourses controlled students behaviors in which the content repeats and informs rules that are set by teachers. Third, while most teachers unobtrusively use the discourse of feelings, acceptance of thinking, praise or encouragement in the perspective of teachers, the pattern forms the power of teachers as a hidden language and is used as a tool to control and oppress students.
