국문 초록

표적도전활동 볼링은 중학교 2학년 교육과정에 속해 있어 가르치기를 기대하고 있으나, 실제 학교에서는 기대만큼 다루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 그 이유를 정확하게 무엇이라 말할 수는 없지만 볼링 시설이 갖추어져 있는 않는 학교환경, 볼링장 에서 볼링을 해야 한다는 인식, 단순한 신체활동, 운동효과 미비 그리고 볼링에 대한 학생들의 낮은 관심으로 생각된다. 따라서 이해중심 게임모형을 적용한 변형볼링 수업을 통하여 다양한 체육활동 경험 제공, 혼성학급 이해 그리고 표적도전활동의 가치실현과 체육수업의 활성화를 위해 수업환경을 재구성하여 수업의 효율성을 높이고자 하였다. 연구자는 B광역시 교육청 수업컨설팅 컨설턴트의 경험을 통해, 표적도전활동 지도의 어려움을 이해하고 교수․학습방법 개선과 수업전략을 개발하기 위 해 미술교과와 융합하여 본시학습에 적합한 볼링공, 볼링핀 그리고 다양한 표적활동의 보조학습 자료를 개발하여 학습의욕을 향상시켰다. 총 34명(남학생 18명, 여학생16명)의 학생들이 연구에 참여하였으며, 연구자의 일지, 심층면담, 설문자료, 개방형 질문지 등의 양적․질적 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과 변형볼링을 통해 학생들의 수업만족과 흥미를 유발할 수 있었으며, 교수학습지도방법 및 수업자료 개발로 표적도전활동 수업 활성화에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Even though bowling is included and expected to be taught as one of target competitive activities in the eighth grade curriculum at middle school, it is not actually taught at school as expected. It is really hard to specify the reasons why bowling is not educated at school. However, its unpopularity may be due to the fact that few schools are equipped with a bowling center, and students are little interested in bowling. Moreover, the common belief that a school is an inappropriate place for bowling contributes to the phenomenon. In this situation, this study intended to advance the quality of teaching and learning by reorganizing learning environments. In other words, this study was designed to help students experience a variety of sports activities in an enjoyable and effective way, learn how to cooperate with the opposite gender, and have a meaningful time with a target sport. To achieve this aim, learning and teaching environments were carefully prepared and arranged. The researcher understood the difficulties in teaching bowling classes through the experience accumulated as a class consultant in B city. To help students actively explore the new sport, bowling balls, bowling pins and supplementary materials were newly designed for the lesson with help from an art teacher. A total of 34 students(18 male students and 16 female students) were involved in the study. This study collected and analyzed qualitative data such as the researcher s journal, in-depth interviews, survey data and open questionnaire. As a result of the study, Students class satisfaction and interest increased through modified bowling class combined with understanding oriented game model. Furthermore, modified bowling lessons and improved teaching and learning materials are expected to contribute to the revitalization of bowling classes as a target competitive activities.
