국문 초록

본 연구는 2009 개정 슬기로운 생활 교과서 내용과 지도서 내용을 다문화적 관점에서 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위하여 국내외 여러 선행연구들을 바탕으로 문화 이해, 정체성, 평등성, 다양성, 편견 극복, 협력의 6가지 요소를 분석 준거로 삼았 다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 급변하는 다문화 사회 현상을 슬기로운 생활의 교과 특성에 맞게 지문, 삽화, 지도서 내용 등에 적절하게 반영하지 못하고 있었다. 둘째, 6가지 다문화 교육 요소 가운데, 국가적 이념과 특성을 강조하는 ‘정체성’ 교육에 대한 비중 이 지나치게 높았다. 반면, ‘편견 극복’, ‘평등성’과 같은 요소는 전혀 포함되어 있지 못하였다. 셋째, 다문화 교육 내용이 ‘다양한 가족’이나 ‘우리나라와 이웃 나라’라는소주제 단원에 집중되어 있었다. 이러한 결과와 관련하여 향후 교육과정 개정시 다 문화 내용을 교육과정 차원에서 체계화시켜 포함시키고, 교과에서 정체성 비율을 대폭 줄이고 부족한 편견 극복, 평등과 같은 가치를 포함시켜야 함을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Korea is changing to a multicultural society now, and to prepare the Ministry of Education with firmness introduced multicultural education. The purpose of this study is to analysis the textbook Wise Life focused to 2009 revised curriculum. For the purpose of this research, the analysis criterion is made up six elements: understanding culture, self-identity, human equality, exclusion prejudice and collaboration. Following demonstrate the results obtained through the analysis. The first, Wise Life has a little multicultural contents and it is mostly national identity contents. Second, the Wise Life textbooks do not sufficiently contain the trends of multicultural society of Korea. Expecially it is for lack of human equality and exclusion prejudice . Third, the contents of multiculture is strong on the unit of Diverse Family and My country and Neighbor country . Consequently, in order to conduct systematic and practical multicultural education, natural and practical education should be performed by distributing to the whole textbook regarding the contents related with various multicultural areas including east-south Asia with balance.
