국문 초록

이 논문은 국어교육에서 언어적 창의성을 합리적으로 평가할 수 있는 평가 기준표의 한 가지 형태를 제안하려고 한다. 선행 연구에서는 국어교육의 목표와 내용 안에서 학습자들이 언어적 창의성을 발휘할 수 있는 구체적인 과제를 제시하고 그 과 제를 수행한 학습자들의 산출물을 여러 명의 국어 교사에게 개별적으로 평가하게한 다음 평가 결과를 수합하여 분석하였다. 이번 논문에서는 평가에 참여한 국어 교사들이 가지고 있는 실제적 판단 기준들과 기존의 창의성 이론들을 바탕으로 언어 적 창의성의 핵심적인 요소들을 도출하여 평가 기준을 체계화하였다. 그 결과 시를 이야기로 다시쓰기 과제의 산출물에 대한 언어적 창의성 평가 기준표는 참신성, 적절성, 정교성의 세 가지 항목과 각 항목에 관련된 2가지의 하위 항목으로 구성되었다. 그리고 여섯 개의 하위 항목 각각에 대해 초과, 도달, 근접, 미달의 네 단계로 질적 기술 척도가 제시되었다. 이 평가 기준표를 활용하면 언어적 창의성을 좀 더 분석적으로 평가할 수 있다. 하지만 평가 기준표의 중요한 가치는 학습자의 산출물들에 대해 객관적인 점수를 부여할 수 있다는 것이 아니다. 평가 기준표는 교사와 학습자 사이에서 그리고 평가자들 사이에서 언어적 창의성을 탐색하고 성찰하는 토론을 이끌어낼 수 있다는 점에서 더 큰 교육적 가치를 지닌다.

영문 초록

This paper attempted to suggest a form of criteria to reasonably allow for verbal creativity evaluation in Korean language education. The previous studies have presented a specific task to allow students to demonstrate their linguistic creativity within a range of the objective and content in Korean language education, and collected and analyzed the products from the students having performed by allowing several language teachers to evaluate them individually. In this paper, evaluation criteria were systemized by deriving the key elements of verbal creativity based on existing creativity theories. As a result of that, the rubric for verbal creativity evaluation on the products of re-writing was composed of three items, including novelty, appropriateness, elaboration, and two sub-items relating to each item. And for each of the six sub-items, a qualitative description measure was presented according to four steps: exceeds standards , meets standards , almost meets standards , and not meets standards . The use of this rubric allows for more analytical evaluation of verbal creativity. But the real importance of the rubric is not in giving objective scores for the products of students. The rubric has a greater educational value in leading to the debate of exploring and reflecting on verbal creativity between teachers and students and also among evaluators.
