국문 초록

최근 대학들은 글로벌 경쟁력을 확보하고 인재양성을 위해 교육성과 제고에 노력하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 노력에 부응하고자 대학생의 학습성과와 관련된 학습자 요인을 살펴보고자 수행되었다. 학습성과 변인으로 교육 현장뿐 아니라 미래사회 에서 필수적으로 강조되는 자기주도학습능력과 학습자가 학습과정에서 심층적으로 참여하는 학습참여 변인을 선정하였고, 선행요인으로는 학습자의 심리적 자본(psychological capital)을 선정하였다. 심리적 자본은 효능감, 희망, 낙천성, 탄력성 4 개의 개념이 통합된 상위개념으로 개인과 조직의 성과 향상에 유의한 요소로 논의된다. 본 연구는 대학생의 심리적 자본이 자기주도학습능력과 학습참여에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보고자, 국내 남녀 대학생 424명의 자료를 수집하여 구조방정식모형으 로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 심리적 자본은 자기주도학습능력을 증진시키는 데 유의한 선행요인으로 밝혀졌으며, 학습참여에도 높은 정적 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 심리적 자본은 학습성과 변인에 높은 설명력을 보임으로써 심리적 자본이 기업 현장뿐 아니라 학교상황에서 학습자의 성과에 중요한 자원이 될 수 있음을 시사하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 수업과 대학에서의 심리적 자본이 시사하는 점과 활용방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

As universities are responsible for educating students to be a valuable human capital for the society, universities put full efforts in improving the quality of education. Since future competencies and the quality of learning experience are recognized as important indicators of successful learning, this study chose self-directed learning and learning engagement as learning outcome variables and psychological capital as a predictor. Psychological capital is the psychological resource which involves in shaping one’s attitude and behaviors, and it promotes organizational performance as well as individual performance. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the effects of psychological capital on self-directed learning and learning engagement for college students. Data were collected and analyzed from 424 college students in Korea. The structural equation modeling analysis was used to test the hypotheses. As a result, psychological capital positively influenced self-directed learning, and it also positively influenced learning engagement. The results revealed that psychological capital accounted for the large proportion of variances in self-directed learning and learning engagement. From the findings, implications for utilizing and promoting psychological capital were discussed.
