국문 초록

본 연구는 남한과 북한의 과학 교육과정 및 교과서를 비교·분석하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 탈북학생의 초등학교와 중학교에서의 과학교육 보충내용을 제안하였다. 이를 위한 연구 내용과 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 탈북학생의 과학교육 보충내용은 남한에서 교육을 받고 있는 탈북학생을 교육 대상으로 하여 탈북학생이 편입할남한의 학년을 기준으로 제안하였다. 둘째, 과학교육의 보충내용은 남한과 북한의 과학과 교육과정의 상이함으로 인하여 발생하는 교육 내용 결손을 보충하는 내용을 중심으로 제안하였다. 셋째, 과학교육의 보총내용 체제는 에너지, 물질, 생명, 지구 등의 네 영역으로 구분하고, 각 영역은 약 3∼4개 정도의 대주제로 구분하여 제 시하였다. 탈북학생들을 위한 과학교육의 보충내용은 탈북학생이 추구해야 할 남한의 과학교육 방향과 그에 필요한 보충학습 교재를 개발하는 데 실질적인 도움이 제공할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop supplementary studies of K-9 science education contents for the North Korea defector students(NKDS). The comparative analysis of the science curricula and textbooks of South and North Korea revealed that there were both similar and different content in elementary and middle school science education of the two nations. The findings of the study were summarized as: First, supplementary studies of science education contents was developed for each grade level which the NKDS were supposed to attend, so that it could serve to construct instructional materials for complementary science lessons for the students. Second, supplementary studies of science education contents for the NKDS was developed in such a way that could reflect the content which was absent in North Korean science curriculum as compared with South Korean curriculum. Finally, there were four area of energy, matters, life, and earth in supplementary studies, and each area consisted in about 3∼4 topics. The products of this study will be useful to facilitate the accommodation of the NKDS at South Korean schools, and furthermore, they can suggest implications for developing a curriculum model, which can help both South and North Korean live harmonically when the time of re-union comes.
