<차성가>의 서술방식과 가사문학사적 의의

국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 <차성가>의 서술 방식을 분석하고, 가사문학사적 의의를 규명하는 데 있다. <차성가>의 서술 방식은 구성의 측면과 구절의 측면을 나누어 살펴보았다. <차성가> 구성의 서술 방식은 작가가 실제로 체험한 기장의 실경 산수를 서술한 것은 아니고, 오랜 기간 동안 기장에 살면서 지역에 관한 작가의 실제 경험과 지식을 바탕으로 기장의 지도를 펼쳐놓고 종합적으로 서술하여 기장의 관념 산수를 서술한 것이다. <차성가> 구절의 서술 방식은 복합적인 양상으로 나타난다. <차성가>에 서 지명의 실제를 근거로 시상을 전개한 방식은 약화되어 나타난다. 그러나 작가는 한글 서술어를 통해 기행가사의 서술 방식을 견지하려고 노력했다. <차성가>는 각 지명을 일반적인 한자어로 서술하거나, 중국의 인물․고사․지명․역사 및 중국 시와 연결하여 서술했다. 주목할만한 점은 이 세 가지 서술 방식이 각 지명에 들어가 있는 한자 자체를 근거로 하여 시상을 전개하고 있다는 것이다. 그리하여 서술한 내용이 지명의 실제와 무관하거나 의미 상 맥락이 맞지 않는 것도 있게 되었다. 기장민의 애향심을 고취하 기 위해 ‘下邑’에 불과한 기장에 중국 ‘문명’의 옷을 입히는 과정에서 다소 무리가 있기도 했음을 알 수 있다. 19세기에 창작된 <차성가>는 전통적인 가사 유형인 기행가사의 서술 전통을 이어 받으면서도 당대에 유행한 지명가사의 서술 방식을 동시에 받아 들여 변형했다. 이렇게 <차성가>는 기행가사의 틀에 지명가사의 세부를 지닌 매우 독특한 서술 방식을 보인다는 점에서 가사문학사적 의의를 지닌다. 그리고 <차성가>는 군단위의 기장을 완성도 높게 서술한 지명가사라는 점에서 가사문학사적으로 희소성이 인정되는 작품이다. 한편 경남 지역에서 창작된 가사문학이 적은 현실에서 <차성가>는 경남 지역의 가사문학 유산을 풍부하게 해주고 있다는 점에서 가사문학사적 의의를 지니기에 충분하다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the describing method of and to identify the significance in the history of Gasa. In , the describing method of the composition is not a description of the actual scenery, but a description of the conceptual scenery. In , the describing method of the verses appear in a complex pattern. The way in which is developing the poetic imagination based on the reality of the region is weakened. However, the poet tried to have the describing method of the traveling Gasa through the Hangul descriptive word. described most of the area through Chinese characters. Each region was described in general Chinese characters, or in conjunction with Chinese people․episode․history and Chinese poetry. Noteworthy is that these three describing methods are developing poetic imagination based on the Chinese character itself in each area. Thus, there are many cases where the describing contents do not match with the realities of the localities. The poet wanted to inspire home-loving of the peoples at GiJang. In the process of the clothing of Chinese civilization to GiJang which was just a small area, a little overstatement has followed . which was created in the 19th century inherited the narrative tradition of traveling Gasa and at the same time accepted the narrative method of jimyung Gasa. has the significance in the history of Gasa in that it has such a unique narrative style. And is one of very rare works in the sense that it is a jeemyung Gasa describing the unit of gun locality. On the other hand, there are very few Gasa works produced in Gyeongnam area. has a significance in the history of Gasa in that it enriches the Gasa literary heritage of Gyeongnam area.
