소나무 수용 시조의 작품 유형과 그 의미

국문 초록

소나무는 한민족의 삶과 오랜 시간동안 함께 해 왔으며 한국문학에도 다양한 방식으로 수용되어 나타났다. 이러한 소나무는 한국시가 문학의 대표라 할 수 있는 시조에도 상당수가수용되었다. 따라서소나무가수용된시조를살펴볼필요성이있다고하겠다. 본고는소나무가수용된시조를작품과작자분석을비롯하여유형과그역할과의미를밝혀보았다. 먼저 시조에 나타난 ‘소나무’의 작품을 살펴보았는데 ‘소나무’가 수용한 시조는 단시조가 148수이고 장시조가 43수로 총 191수가 확인된다. 양으로만 본다면 단시조가 3배이상 많이 나타나고 있다. 다음으로 시조의 작자는 56명에 작품 수는 114수였다. 가장 많은 작품을 남기 인물은 김득연으로 12수이다. 한편 시기적으로 ‘소나무’의 수용은 조선조 전반에 두루 나타나고 있으며 양적으로만 본다면 주된 작자층은 문신계층임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 소나무가 수용된 시조의 유형을 분류하였는데 유형은 단독과 조합, 그리고 상태와 공간이며 그 외 부산물과 소리 등이었다. 가장 많은 빈도수를 보이는 것은 단독 유형인 ‘松’이었으며 다음으로 조합이 11항목에 51회, 다음으로는 ‘상태’가 11개 항목에 49회였다. 그 외 ‘공간’과 ‘부산물’, 그리고 ‘소리’에 이르기까지 다양한 유형과 빈도수를 보이고 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째로시조에나타난소나무의 유형을 살펴보았다. 소나무가수용된시조의유형은크게‘단독’과‘조합’, 그리고‘상태’와‘공간’이있으며그외‘부산물’과‘소리’로나눌수있다. 구체적으로 ‘단독’은 외형과 내면으로 나누어 그 속성을 살펴보았고 ‘조합’은 자연물과 식물, ‘상태’는 내 외적, 그리고 ‘공간’은 광의와 협의로 나누어 살펴보았다. 한편 ‘부산물’은 가공물과 비가공물로 ‘소리’는 실제와 비유적 소리로 분류하여 고찰해 보았다. 끝으로 소나무 시조의 역할과 의미를 조명해 보았다. 먼저 소나무가 수용된 시조는 다양한 유형화를 보이고 있다는 점과 소나무의 다양한 특성과 유형들을 적극적으로 수용하고 있다는 점, 그리고 소나무가 수용된 시조는 한국문학의 전통적 이미지를 계승 및 확대하고 있다는 점 등이다.이처럼 소나무가 수용된 시조는 다양한 유형화와 수용의 양상을 보이고 있었다. 따라 서 소나무를 비롯하여 다양한 소재에 대한 논의가 진행된다면 시조의 미적 특질을 더욱 선명하게 드러날 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

A pine tree has shared it’s life with Korean people for a longtime and has been accepted in various ways on Korean literature. Pine trees have appeared on many Sijos, which represent Korean poetry literature. Therefore, it is worthwhile for a pine tree to be examined in Sijos. The main purpose of this paper is to identify the types of pine trees accepted in Sijo as well as to study the authors who are using pine trees as a writing material in their works. First, it has been found that 148 short Sijos and 43 long Sijos, which makes the total of 191 are accepting pine trees. 56 authors are using pine trees in their works whose total number of works is 114. Kim Dun Yeon is the one who used the pine trees most frequently in his 12 works. In the meantime, the acceptance of pine trees is found throughout the era of Joseon Dynasty and the main authors are civil ministers. I also classified the types of pine trees in Sijo, which are a pine tree itself, combination, the status and space and sound. The most frequent type is ‘松’ followed by combination of 11 categories, which is 51 times and 11 items for the status, 49 times respectively. It was also found that there are various types and frequencies ranging from ‘space’ and ‘by-product to ’sound’. Third, I looked at the types of pine trees which are accepted in Sijo. The types of acceptance of the trees are largely divided into ‘solo and combination’ and ‘status and space’ and ‘by-product and sound’. Specifically, I divided the ‘solo’ into the shape and inner shape, ‘combination’ into the natural objects and plants, ‘status’ into being internal and external, and ‘space’ into being broad and narrow to examine the aspect of acceptance of pine trees. On the other hand, the ‘by-products’ were divided into processed goods and non-processed goods and the ‘sound’ was divided into real sounds and figurative sounds. Lastly, I figured out the role and meaning of the Sijo with pine trees. It has been found that the Sijos with pine trees show various types and accept the various characteristics of pine trees and succeed the traditional image of Korean literature. I have been able to identify that those Sijos show various aspects of acceptance. Therefore, It can be said that using various writing materials including pine trees in Sijo can enrich literary works.
