국문 초록

芥川竜之介の『首が落ちた話』(1918.1)は芸術至上主義の全盛期に発表された。ところが、芸術至上主義の作品でないだけでなく、その批評によく取り上げられる典拠の問題や作家のプライバシーとは全く関わらない作品である。上、中、下の3部構成で、上と中では日清戦争で重傷を負った淸軍ㆍ何小二を通じて反戰のテーマが描かれる。下では日清戦争と講和条約の締結後1年が過ぎた時点で、二人の対話を通じて、当時の新聞に対した不信と批判が表される。特に、木村少佐の‘ちがった意味で、人間は当てにならない’という言葉と、結末の文章‘すべて支那の新聞と云ふものは、こんな風に読まなくてはいけない’にテーマが明らかに表れる。ここで、‘支那の新聞’というのは、中国が発行した中国の新聞ではなく、帝国日本が中国で発行した中国語新聞である。また、この作品は‘我々’即ち、日本国内の読者に向いたものであった。つまり、この結論の文章は、日本の読者に日本が発行した中国語新聞が信じられないことを述べており、更に、事実を隠しㆍ操作する帝国主義の御用新聞に対する積極的な批判であった。

영문 초록

AkutagawaRyunoske’s The Story that a Head Dropped(1918.1) is composed of three volumes. In volumes 1 and 2, the theme of pacifism can be seen through KaShouZi, a Chinese officer, whose head was seriously injured in the Sino Japanese war. The third volumedescribes the time when one year passed since the end of the Sino-Japanese war, and the Peace treaty, disgust, and criticism on the press at that time show up through conversations of the two characters. The theme of this work clearly shows up from the utterance by the officer Kimura, who is the main character and narrator, ‘In different meanings, a human being is unreliable’, and the sentences at the end of the story, ‘It is necessary that we know seriously ourselves to be unreliable,’ ‘You must read the articles of a newspaper of China in this way.’ The ‘newspaper’ stated here is not a Chinese newspaper which is published by Chinese people, but a newspaper published by Japan of the imperialism in Chinese language in China. Further, this novel was written for ‘us’, in other words, for the readers in Japan. Thus, this novel tells that the newspaper of Chinese that Japan published was unreliable and the sentences at the end serve as an aggressive criticism of the ‘kept press’ of the imperialism that suppressed and fabricated the truth.
