영문 초록

This research firstly examines the structural patterns of Chungbuk regional strategic industries. Secondly, it also pays attention to development stages of Chungbuk regional strategic industries, grouping them into two on-schedule and behind-schedule classes. Thirdly, it focuses on structural characteristics of Chungbuk regional strategic industries and proposes a series of practical policy options, all of which would contribute to the improvement of Chungbuk regional economic status and its competiveness. This research proposes couples of policy recommendations. First of all, Chungbuk has to strengthen institution building, emphasizing the management functions among various participating organizations. Secondly, it seems more appropriate that the brokerage roles should primarily be assigned to Chungbukbased universities with higher centrality values. Thirdly, except the bioindustry, as most of participating organizations are located in Chungbuk Province, its impact on non-Chungbuk jurisdiction seems relatively meager. Therefore, bio-industry should continuously strive for strengthening inter- regional network. In contrast, the other Chungbuk regional strategic industries should predominantly center on sectors with higher centrality values.
