국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 생애사 연구방법을 통해 중년전환기 기혼여성의 진로구성과정과 그 의미를 탐구하는데 있다. 이를 위해 중년전환기 기혼여성 7명을 대상으로 내러티브인터뷰를 하여 자료수집을 하였다. 자료분석은 Mandelbaum(1973)의 분석단위(차원, 전환, 적응)로 구성하고, Lieblich, Tuval-Mashiach, & Zilber(1998)의 총체적 내용접근으로 코딩 및 범주화 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로선택과 진로구성과정에 영향을 준 제도적 요인은 ‘IMF 경제위기’, ‘IT산업의 발달’, ‘비정규직법’이었다. 둘째, 삶의 차원은 ‘가족: 알파걸에서 수퍼우먼으로’, ‘일터: 투명인간에서 인간’으로, ‘SNS공간: 카페인 세상 속에서’으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로구성과정은 ‘관계’안에서 주어진 ‘역할’을 수행하며 ‘자아’를 실현해 내는 과정이었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 현재 한국사회 중년전환기 여성들의 진로구성 과정에서 외부적 맥락과 중년전환기 여성의 심리내적인 요인들을 이해하는 하나의 실마리가 될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the environmental characteristics, meaning of career construction and life changes of women in their mid-life transition based on their career life history. To achieve this purpose, the data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven women in their mid-life transition. This study constructed a timeline by analytic unit(dimension, turning point , adaptation of Madelbaum(1973). through Lieblich, Tuval-Mashiach, & Zilber(199) s holistic content approach. The specific results and conclusions are as it follows, The specific results and conclusions are as it follows, first, the prominent external contexts of ‘IMF economic crisis’, ‘IT industries , ‘the protection of non-regular workers . Second, life dimensions is ‘family :alpha-girl to super-woman’, ‘workplace :the invisible man to visible man , ‘SNS world’. Thrid, career construction is the meaning of a ‘given role to lead ‘relationship’ acquires while realizing the nature of the process. The results of this paper could be that a women turn to understand the career construction in their mid-life transition through analysing external context and experiences of it. This study discussed and made suggestions based on the research results.
