국문 초록

본 연구는 내러티브 논의가 교육과정 재구성에 주는 시사점을 탐색하고 교육과정재구성 경험이 내러티브 형성과 맺는 관련을 확인하기 위한 연구이다. 내러티브는 내적 요소들이 일관성 있게 구조화되어 있고 맥락에 따라 다양한 해석을 허용하는 삶의 의미가 적재된 이야기를 뜻한다. 내러티브가 우리가 세계 속에서 살아가는 동안 겪는 경험을 원천으로 형성되는 것이라면, 교육적 내러티브의 의미와 구조는 교육과정 재구성 경험과의 관련 하에 파악되어야 한다. 교육과정 재구성 경험은 교육적 경험의 핵심을 이루는 것으로서, 학습자 외부에 머물러 있기 때문에 무기력한 교육과정을 학습자 내부의 의미 있는 경험으로 재구성하는 과정을 가리킨다. 이런 이유로, 교육과정 재구성 경험과 내러티브의 형성 간의 관련을 이해하는 일은 교육과정, 내러티브, 경험 삼자 간의 관련에 대한 이해를 필요로 한다. 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로, 본 연구는 교육과정 재구성 경험과 내러티브 형성에 관한 문제를 다음 세가지 하위 주제를 통해 탐색하였다. 첫째, 듀이 경험이론을 중심으로 경험이 내러티브 형성과 관련을 맺는다는 점을 확인하였다. 둘째, 경험의 구조에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 내러티브의 성격과 특징과 형성 과정을 살펴보았다. 마지막으로, 경험을 원천으로 하는 내러티브에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 교육과정 재구성 경험이 내러티브 형성과 맺는 관련을 다양한 수준에서 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This study explores the relationship between the experience of curriculum reconstruction and the formation of teacher narrative. Narrative is a story loaded with meaning of life. This story has a structure with coherent internal elements and provides possibility of various interpretations depending on the contexts. As the life experience is a source of narrative, this study investigates the meaning and the structure of narrative in relationship with experience. As curriculum reconstruction is a process of reconstructing the inert curriculum outside the child into the meaningful one inside the child learner, curriculum reconstruction depends on the meaning of experience. Understanding the nature of curriculum structure depends on the clear explanation on the relationship between curriculum, narrative, and experience. Based on these premises, this study investigated the implications of narrative on the curriculum reconstruction in three categories. First, this study analyzes the meaning of horizon of experience on the basis of Dewey s theory of experience. Secondly, this study explores the nature and characteristics of narrative on the basis of close examination with the structure of experience which forms the origin of narrative. Finally, on the basis of understanding the origin and the nature of narrative, this study confirms the role of narrative on the formation concrete and rich understanding of curriculum reconstruction.
