국문 초록

1968년 발생한 김희로사건은 한일양국에 큰 충격을 주었다. 한국과 일본언론은 사건의 일거수일투족을 보도하며 대중의 큰관심을 불러일으켰다. 사건이후 일본에서는 마이너리티인권 문제를 인식했으며 재일조선인을 비롯한 마이너리티문제에 관심을보였다. 문학계에서는 이회성(李恢成), 오시로다쓰히로(大城立裕), 진순신(陳舜臣)과 같은 마이너리티출신작가에게 문학상을수여하는 행보를 보였다. 이회성은 우리청춘의 길목에서를 통해 일본사회의 차별과 재일조선인 가정폭력이라는 이중적 고통에 노출된 재일조선인 청년문제를 다뤘다. 또한 작품에서 김희로사건을 모티브로 활용함으로써 재일조선인 인권차별, 정체성, 가정폭력과 같은 재일조선인 문학의 특수성을 표현했다. 이회성이 작품에서 김희로사건을 모티브로 활용한 흔적은 여러요소를 통해 확인할 수 있다. 실제 김희로 사건과 유사한 인질극장면, 김희로의 재판에서 이회성이 변호인으로 진술했던 내용과일치하는 서사구조에서 흔적을찾을수 있다. 이회성은 일본에서 열악하게 사는 재일조선인 청년들을 상세히묘사했고 이를통해김희로가 극단적 선택을 할 수 밖에 없었던 이유를 작품을 통해 설명했다. 이를 통해 재일조선인 문학의 특수성을 획득했으며아쿠타가와상최종심에 오르는 문학적 성취를 거둔다. 이처럼 이회성은 작품에서 김희로 사건을 활용해 재일조선인 청년문제와인권 문제를 다루었고 이를통해 문학적성취를 거두며 재일조선인 문학의 특수성을 획득했다.

영문 초록

The incident of Kim, Hee Ro occurred in 1968 and was shocking to both Korea and Japan. As its every movement was reported by both Korean and Japanese media, it aroused a huge public interest. After the incident, Japan started paying attention to minorities’ human rights and having interest in minority issues including Korean-Japanese. In the literary world, minority authors like Lee, Hoe Seong, Oshiro Tatsuhiro, and Jin, Sun Sin received literary awards. Through “In the Corner of Our Youth”, Lee, Hoe Seong handled the issue of Korean-Japanese youths exposed to discrimination and domestic violence in Japanese society. Also, using the incident by Kim, Hee Ro as a motif for the work, the specialty of Korean-Japanese literature like discrimination against Korean-Japanese human rights, identity, and domestic violence was expressed. The proof of using the incident by Kim, Hee Ro as a motif in the work by Lee, Hoe Seong can be found through many elements such as the hostage situation – which is similar to the actual incident by Kim, Hee Ro – and the narrative structure that follows the statements of Lee, Hoe Seong in Kim, Hee Ro’s trial. Lee, Hoe Seong described poor Korean-Japanese youths in Japan in detail and explained the reason why Kim, Hee Ro made the extreme selection through the work. Acquiring the specialty of Korean-Japanese literature, he made literary accomplishments such as progressing to the final screening for the Akutagawa Prize. As such, using the incident by Kim, Hee Ro for his work, Lee Hoe Seong handled the issue of Korean-Japanese youths and their human rights, made several literary accomplishment, and acquired the specialty of Korean-Japanese literature.
