초등학교 발명교육이 아동의 발명태도와 정신건강에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 발명교육이 아동의 발명태도와 정신건강에 미치는 영향을 검증하는데 있다. 연구 대상은 D시의 N초등학교 6학년 40명 중 실험집단 20명, 비교집단 20명이다. 발명교육 프로그램을 개발하여, 실험집단을 대상으로 총 20차시의 발명교육을 실시하였다. 검사 도구는 발명 태도와 간이정신진단 검사지를 사용하였다. 자료 분석에는 SPSSWIN 프로그램을 사용하였고, 실험 처치 전⋅후 실험집단과 비교집단의 발명태도와 정신건강의 차이를 검증하기 위하여 t-검증을 실시 하였다. 또한 발명태도와 정신건강과의 관계를 살펴보기 위해 Pearson 상관분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발명교육의 경험은 초등학교 아동들의 발명에 대한 태도 수준을 높이는데 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 발명교육의 경험은 초등학교 아동들의 정신건강의 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 발명교육에 따른 발명교육과 정신건강 사이의 상관관계를 분석해 본 결과, 초등 아동의 발명태도가 높을수록 정신건강 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 초등학교 발명교육이 아동의 발명태도와 정신건강 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 알수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of children s invention attitude and mental health through invention education in elementary school. Students who participated in the experiment were 40 students from two 6th grade classes in N Elementary School located in D City. Subjects were 20 students for experimental group and 20 students for comparative group. Total 20 times of the invention education were conducted on the experimental group. Questionnaire in this study used invention attitude and Symptom Checklist-90-Revision(SCL-90-R). SPSSWIN program was used for data analysis, and t-test were conducted to identify the difference between invention attitude invention and mental health of experimental group and comparative group before and after the experiment treatment. Also, Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to investigate the relationship between invention attitude and mental health. The main results of this study were as follows: First, it was identified that experiencing the invention education makes positive effect in improving attitude of elementary school students towards invention. Second, the invention education makes positive effect on mental health of elementary school students. Third, as a result of analyzing correlation between the invention attitude and mental health of elementary school students through invention education, the correlation coefficient between factors of invention attitude and mental health condition showed significantly positive correlation that the higher invention attitude showed higher mental health points. Therefore, it was made positive effect in improving students attitude towards invention and in formation of desirable mental health.
