고려 말 佛家의 遊山記연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국 遊山記문학의 태동기라 할 고려 말기에 등장한 佛家유산기의 위상과 특성을검토하는데목적으로두었다. 그동안유산기에 대한 연구가활발하게이루어진 것이사실이나조선중·후기작품위주로연구가진행됨으로써유산기문학의흐름을살피고계통성을 마련하는 데는 한계가 있었다. 따라서 天頙의 遊四佛山記, 天因의 天冠山記, 無畏의 達摩山記등 고려 말 승려들에 의해 지어진 3 작품의 서술 미학적 특성, 문학사적 위상을 검토하기로 한 것이다. 첫 과제는 이들 작품의 형성배경을 파악하는 일인데 불가 유산기가 자생적으로 출현했다고 보기는 무리라 판단했다. 廬山記등을 인용한 사례에서 보듯 중국의 불가 유산기들이 고려 말 유산기 창작에 일정 영향을 끼쳤다고 보았다. 전통적으로 유가의유산기는 산수를 노니는유람자의 심미안적 풀이와 흥취를 드러내는데 초점을 둔다. 물론 심성을 도야하는 노정으로서의 의미를 부여하는 등 의론성이 강화되기도하지만자연친화적인기조를잃지않는다. 불가의유산기도산수미와유적, 그리고그에얽힌인물들의 자취를간과하지않는다. 하지만유람의 최종 목적을불국토의확인에두고 있을 뿐만 아니라 불교인간들의 영이한 흔적을 수습하는데 큰 열의를 보인다. 3개의 작품 역시그같은지향성위에놓인다. 그러면서도작품들은 나름의개별적특성을별도로구비하고 있다. 즉 遊四佛山記에는 당대 고려가 처한 현실과 신변잡기적 서술이 보이며 天冠山記에는천태사상에기반한국토관이반영되며 達摩山記에는달마산이변방에위치해 있으나 그 불연성만은 어느 곳에도 못지않다는 탈변방적 인식이 드러나 있는 바, 3 작품은나름의변별점을갖추고있는것이다. 아직형식이나내용면에서불가유산기의정체성을온전히갖춘것으로보기가어려우나고려말에등장한상기3 작품은조선시대의불가 유산기 뿐만 아니라 유가 유산기에도 적지 않은 영향을 미쳤다 하겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine Yusangi(遊山記) in Buddhism series, which appears in late Goryeo that Korea's Yusangi(遊山記) literature quickens. It is a fact that a research on Yusangi(遊山記) has been performed actively in the meantime, but was progressed focusing on works in Joseon period, thereby having been left the limitation to arranging the descent of Yusangi literature. Accordingly, the aim is to grasp the formation in the early Yusangi(遊山記) and its descriptive aesthetic characteristic through 3 works, which were written by Buddhist monks in late Goryeo such as Cheon Chaek's Yusabulsangi (遊四佛山記), Cheon In's Cheongwansangi(天冠山記), and Mu Oe's Dalmasangi(達摩山記). It is difficult to see that the Buddhist Yusangi(遊山記) in late Goryeo entirely appeared natively. Writing is indicated to have been made under the influence of works in China's Buddhism series including . in Confucianismtraditionally emphasized the aesthetic-discrimination realization and excitement of a holiday-maker who takes a stroll on the mountains. In addition, a significance was given to sightseeing as the process of training the mind. Even Yusangi(遊山記) in Buddhism series has interest in natural beauty & remains, and in a trace of figures of being involved in it. However, Buddhist monks confirm the land of Buddha through sightseeing and comes to positively collect ethereal tracks of Buddha and Bodhisattva. 3 A work is also shown to equally reflect this sight. However, despite the works that appeared in the same period, a change was ever perceived the descriptive and contextual aspect. In other words, a writer's own discrimination was solidified such as that is seen the reality of being faced by the contemporary Goryeo, and the random description, that is strongly reflected the consciousness of the land based on T'ientai's thought, and that is minutely depicted scenery in an eco-friendly line of sight. Through these works at any rate, we can understand influential relationship upon the Yusangi(遊山記) literature in Joseon period along with a descriptive characteristic in Yusangi(遊山記) of formative years.
