영문 초록

The main purpose of this research is to evaluate relative importance of siting factors of landfill site through an application of analytical hierarchical process (AHP), having three level with 28 elements of siting factors based on literature review. After selecting 220 valid questionnaire obtained from mail survey to expert group related to landfill sites We have analysed the relative importance of siting factors on landfill sites. We have found the relative importance of siting factors that 1) at the first level socioeconomic, environmental, locational, and institutional elements have been turned out to have 0.143, 0.387, 0.372 and 0.098, respectively, 2) at the second level the hydrology has been turned out to be the most important elements having 0.295, and 3) at the third level, distance to dam, reservoir and valley has been turned out to be the most important element having 0.0651. In methodological perspective, AHP has been turned out to be a highly useful tools for evaluation of relative importance of siting factors on landfill sites and provide us a frame of reference in conceptualizing and systematically organizing existing literatures on landfill. The results of this research will be used for relative evaluation of proposed landfill sites and design-making in landfill site selection.
