영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to suggest main strategies of local administration in the local self-government age. For this purpose this paper investigate the ideological background of the local self-government age first, and then under the this criterion this paper find out strategies of local administration. The self-government have the ideology or philosophy of decentralism, autonomism, participationisrn, positive regionalism, culturism and pluralism etc. Therefore, local government should be apply strategies as following for the desirable local administration: improvement of public servants manner, the efficient management of local administration(Bench Marking, Time Based Strategy, Reengineering, Quality Control and Flex Time etc), reorganisation of local government setups, rationlization of institution, and globalization of regional development.
