장애대학생들의 취업 현실과 지원방안에 대한 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애대학생들이 경험하고 있는 취업의 현실은 어떠하며 이들을 위한 취업 지원은 어떠한지에 대하여 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 대학졸업 후 취업한 장애인들, 장애대학생 취업담당자들, 장애대학생들을 채용하는 기업관계자들을 대상으로 포커스그룹 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 장애대학생들의 취업현실과 취업지원방안을 보여주고 있다. 장애대학생들은 비장애인들과 마찬가지로 공기업과 같은 안정적인 직종들을 선호하고 있었다. 하지만 비장애인들과 마찬가지로 장애인들은 이러한 직업을 가지기는 쉽지 않기 때문에 다양한 직업들을 고려하여 취업준비를 할 필요가 있음을 보여주고 있었다. 장애대학생들의 취업 준비와 관련해서는 대학이나 사회 차원의 지원은 부족함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 결론적으로 성공적인 취업을 위해서는 개인의 태도와 노력이 중요하며, 이를 위해서는 본인들의 노력뿐만 아니라, 대학, 기업, 사회 차원의 지원이 중요함을 보여주고 있다.

영문 초록

This study is intended to survey the employment experience and the existing employment support for college graduates with disabilities. For this purpose, we interviewed management personnel for special needs employment support, employers of college graduates with disabilities, and employed people with disabilities after finishing higher education. As a result of the study, this study shows the reality of employment and method for support of employment. College students with disabilities prefer to safe jobs like non-disabled people. However, as it is difficult for people with disabilities like non-disabled people to get these jobs, people with disabilities need to prepare employment considering various jobs. There were lack of support by college-level or social level for employment readiness of college students with disabilities. This study conclusively shows that successful employment for college students with disabilities depends on college, companies and social supports as well as personal efforts.
