국문 초록

이 연구는 중・고등학교 특수학급의 특수체육 운영실태를 파악하기 위하여 실시하였다. 연구의목적을 달성하기 위해 비확률표집방법 중 편의표집을 이용하여 중・고등학교에 근무하고 있는 특수교사 300명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 진행하였고, 이를 통해 수집한 148명의 설문 응답 결과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 40.5%는 특수체육을 실시하고 있는 반면, 59.5%는 실시하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 특수체육을 시행하는 데 있어 교육 목적으로는 학생들의 상호협력, 대인관계 기능, 규칙 준수등 태도 습득 때문으로 나타났고, 교육활동으로는 기초체력 향상과 관련된 내용이 가장 많은 것으로확인되었다. 특수체육을 진행하는 주된 장소로는 특수학급 교실이나 체육관으로 나타났으며, 수업시수는 주 1회 수업 운영이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 특수체육을 실시하는 이유로는 학생들이체육활동을 통해 신체・인지・정서적으로 발달할 수 있을 것으로 기대하기 때문으로 나타났다. 이와같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 구체적인 시사점을 도출하고 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to understand the current status of special physical education in special classes in middle and high schools. To achieve the purpose of the study, a survey was conducted on 300 special education teachers working in middle and high schools using convenience sampling among non-probability sampling methods, and the survey responses from 148 people collected through this survey were analyzed. As a result of the study, it was found that 40.5% were practicing special physical education, while 59.5% were not practicing it. In implementing special physical education, the educational purpose was found to be students' acquisition of attitudes such as mutual cooperation, interpersonal skills, and rule compliance, and the most educational activities were found to be related to improving basic physical strength. The main places where special physical education was conducted were special class classrooms or gymnasiums, and the most frequent class times were once a week. The biggest reason for implementing special physical education was the expectation that students would be able to develop physically, cognitively, and emotionally through physical education activities.
