국문 초록

본 연구는 뇌졸중 환자의 호흡기능과 일상생활활동 간의 상관성을 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 연구기간은 2012년 8월부터 2013년 10월까지 15개월간 실시하였다. 연구대상자는 뇌졸중으로 진단받은 28명이였으며, 폐기능 검사와 한글판 수정바델지수(Korean-Version of Modified Barthel Index; K-MBI)를 검사하여 수집한 값을 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS for Window (ver.19.0) 프로그램으로 분석하였으며, 호흡기능과 일상생활활동 수행능력 사이의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 이변량 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과 호흡기능이 일상생활활동 중 개인위생, 목욕하기, 식사하기, 용변처리, 옷입기 항목에서 의미있는 상관관계를 보였으며, 대변조절과 소변조절 항목에서는 폐기능 검사의 하위항목 중 최대흡기압(Maximal Inspiratory Pressure; MIP)과 최대호기압(Maximal Expiratory Pressure; MEP) 항목에서 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 또한, 최대흡기압의 기능이 높을수록 일상생활활동 수행능력이 높음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between respiratory function and performance of activities of daily living(ADL) in stroke patients. The study was performed over fifteen months from August 2012 to October 2013. Twenty-eight subjects who had stroke participated in this study and participants were assessed and analysed using the pulmonary function test and Korean modified barthel index(K-MBI). We did analysis by using SPSS for Windows(ver.19.0) program and we used Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and regression analysis to know the relationship between respiratory function and ability to perform ADL in stroke patients. The results indicated that there was a significant correlation between the respiratory function and personal hygiene, bathing self, feeding, toilet, dressing of ADL. And bowel & bladder control was correlated with maximal inspiratory pressure(MIP) & maximal expiratory pressure(MEP) of pulmonary function test subitem. In addition, we could know that the higher the function of MIP is the more the ability to perform ADL improves.
