미술영재성 개념 정립을 위한 문헌 고찰 연구

국문 초록

영재교육진흥법이 공포된 이후, 미술영재교육에 대한 관심이 높아지고 전국적으로 미술영재교육이 확산된 반면 아직도 미술영재교육에 대한 의견이 분분하며, 미술영재에 대한 회의적인 시각도 존재하고 있다. 이는 미술영재성에 대한 명확한 개념의 부재 때문으로 이를 규정하기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미술영재성 개념을 정립하기 위해서 영재성의 개념을 분석한 후, 이를 바탕으로 미술영재성을 고찰하고자 하였다. 영재성은 뛰어난 능력, 창의성, 동기 및 태 도 등 내재적 요인과 환경적, 발달적 관점 등 외재적 요인으로 구분하여 정의할 수 있다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 미술 영재성은 미술을 잘하는데 필요한 타고난 재능으로써 잠재된 능력들이 서로 상호작용하여 미술 분야에서 최고의 성취를 이루도록 영향을 주는 심리학적 특성으로 정의할수 있다. 외재적 요인은 개인에 따라 차이가 크고 일반화하기 어렵기 때문에 본고에서는 미술영재성올 미술 분야에서 요구하는 미술적 능력, 창의성, 동기 및 태도 등 내재적 구성 요인을 중심으로 그 특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 미술적 능력에서는 기존의 선행연구에서 강조되었던 표현 능력 뿐 아니라, 감상 및 비평 능력 둥과 같은 인지적 측면과 현대 미술적 맥락을 반영한 사회, 문화적 이해 및 공감 능력 등에 대한 추가 논의가 필요하며, 창의성에서는 창의적 사고과정에서 복합적으로 작용하는 정서적, 인지적, 미적 측면이 고려되어야 한다. 마지막으로, 동기 및 태도는 미술영재성 발현에 결정적인 역할을 하는 요인으로 점차적으로 그 중요성이 강조되고 있으며, 외재적 요인과 밀접한 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to conceptualize the giftedness in visual arts and develop the conceptual framework. For this purpose. first. I collected extensive definitions of the giftedness and reorganized it as above ability. high motivation and creativity with environmental and developmental factors. Such external factors help to maximize one's ability so that we have to consider them in identifying and educating the gifted. Secondly. I reviewed a literature on characteristics of the gifted in visual arts and defined the giftedness in visual arts based on the conceptual framework of the giftedness in general. The giftedness in visual arts consists of above ability in visual arts. creativity. and high motivation including other affective factors. Above ability in visual arts can be defined as cognitive skills and visual expressivity. Along with the paradigm changes in art education. the visual expressivity. creativity. understanding arts. and sociocultural communication have been emphasized in chronological order. Sociocultural communication from Visual Culture Art Education reflects the contemporary social and cultural contexts. so that it should be further discussed. To do so. I defined the characteristics of a new paradigms of art education as 1) content-based art education. 2) using multimedia. 3) interdisciplinary approach. 4) art education for social justice after analyzing research trends in art education. In this context. the sociocultural communication consists of critical inquiry on social. cultural issues, empathy and communicating skills, interdisciplinary thinking. and digital multimedia literacy.
