미술학습에서 비판적 사고의 검사

국문 초록

미술학습에서 비판적 사고력은 시각이미지의 지시적 요소뿐만 아니라 비지시적 의미의 해석과 이에 관한 유추, 판단 등 고등사고기능이 강조되는 현대미술교육의 흐름을 반영한다. 이 논문에서는 미술학습에서 비판적 사고란 무엇이고 이러한 기능을 판단할 수 있는 검사는 어떻게 개발될 수 있는지에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 우선 몇 개의 대표적 논문에서 설명하는 비판적 사고의 구인을 알아보고 이를 현대미술교육에서 정의하고 있는 비판적 사고의 양상과 연관시켜 내용타당도를 확인하고자 한다. 이에 기초해 미술에서 비판적 사고기능을 설명할 수 있는 예시문들을 생성하고 이러한 예시문에 상응하는 미술과의 검사문항의 예로서 2008년도에 실시된 NAEP의 미술과 평가문항을 제시하여 미술학습에서 비판적 사고기능에 대한 평가척도의 가능성을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Critical thinking in art education reflects the tendency of contemporary art education that emphasizes higher thinking skills such as interpretation of denotative elements of visual images as well as connotations. analysis. inference. and so on. The purpose of this paper is to explicate what critical thinking in art learning is and explore what form the test items for critical thinking in art learning would take. To deal with these questions. this paper investigates and identifies the constructs for critical thinking in art learning by relating them to those for critical thinking in general education. Based on the constructs for critical thinking in art learning the behavioral objectives were generated and test items of NAEP in visual arts to attest those behavioral objectives were analyzed. Delineating and analyzing test items for critical thinking in art learning will help art educators understand their students' practices and their owns.
