『靑坡劇談』의 文獻的 檢討

국문 초록

『靑坡集』은 靑坡 李陸이 남긴 詩文集으로써 저자의 死後 아들 李嶮에 의해 1512년에 최초로 刊行이 이루어졌다. 現存本이 극히 드문 이 初刊 『靑坡集』에는 권1에 詩가 수록되어 있고 권2에 『靑坡劇談』이 수록되어 있다. 이 初刊本 文集은 글자 모양이 고졸하며 문자 간격이 널찍하게 판각되어 있어 조선전기 목판본으로서의 특징과 아름다움을 잘 보여주고 있다. 본고에서 고찰하고자 하는 『靑坡劇談』은 이런 類로서는 드물게 文藝美의 獲得에 성공하고 있어 독자들의 애호를 받고 있다. 하지만 지금까지 대부분의 독자나 연구자들은 初刊本에 所載한 『靑坡劇談』을 간과한 채 후대에 필사된 『大東野乘』 所載本을 그 대본으로 삼고 있어 眞面目을 살피는데 한계를 안고 있었다. 이제 초간본을 살펴보면 이 筆記集에는 총 95話의 이야기가 수록되어 있으며 그 대부분은 逸話에 속하는 것이다. 따라서 이 책은 稗說類 筆記로 규정지을 수 있다. 그런데 실은 15세기는 野史의 저술을 禁忌視하던 시대였다. 그에 따라 당시 여타의 필기류 곧 『太平閑話滑稽傳』나 『慵齋叢話』등과 마찬가지로 稗說에 속하는 이야기가 그 대부분을 점유하고 있었던 것이다.

영문 초록

“Cheongpa-jib” is a poetry collection written by Cheongpa Yi Yuk. It had been first published by his son Yi Heom in 1512 after Yi Yuk had passed away. There are only few books left of this first edition Cheongpa-jib. In Vol. 1, there are poems. In Vol. 2, there is the “Cheongpa Geukdam”. This first edition literary collection has quite modest and simple fonts. Together with wide distance between characters, this edition shows the characteristic and beauty of woodblock-printing during early Joseon dynasty. “Cheongpa Geukdam” is the subject of this study. “Cheongpa Geukdam” is an extraordinary literary work that achieved both the beauty of literary art and the ardent support of the readers. However, till today, most of readers and researchers have been referring to the “Daedong Yaseung” article-edition instead of the first edition of Cheongpa-jib for Cheongpa Geukdam. Daedong Yaseung is the hand-copied version of Cheongpa Geukdam that was made much later. Therefore, there have been limitations in exploring the real characteristics of Cheongpa Geukdam till today. Cheongpa Geukdam in the first edition of Cheongpa-jib carries total 95 stories. Most of them are anecdotes. Therefore, it is possible to define Cheongpa Geukdam as a gossip collection. However, in fact, the writing of unofficial history was banned at the time and that is why gossip collections such as “Taepyeong Hanhwa Golgye Jeon” or “Yongjae Chonghwa” were quite popular at the time.
