러시아극동지역 한국학 관련 기관과 한인자료 현황

국문 초록

이 연구는 독립국가연합의 한국학 관련기관과 자료현황을 파악하기 위한 전체 연구과제의 일부로서 러시아극동지역을 그 연구대상으로 한 것이다. 극동러시아지역은 1937년 20만에 가까운 고려인들이 스탈린에 의하여 강제이주하기까지 거주하였던 고려인의 역사적 고향이다. 최근 이 지역은 과거 러시아 한국학의 중심지의 하나였던 극동국립대학 등을 중심으로 한국학에 관한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 또한 이 지역 문서보관소에는 러시아 이주한인의 역사의 다양하고 풍부한 측면에 관련된 풍부한 자료들이 보존되어 있다. 본 연구는 극동러시아지역의 블라디보스톡, 하바로브스크, 유즈노-사할린스크 등지에 소재한 문서보관소, 연구기관, 교육기관의 연혁과 현황, 그리고 이들 기관에 소장되어 있는 한국학관련 소장자료들의 현황을 파악하고 이를 소개하는데 중점을 두었다. 국내의 한국학연구자들이 향후 고려인연구나 한국학연구에 있어서 구소련지역 학자들의 문제의식과 관점을 참고하고 아울러 이 지역에 소장되어 있는 자료들을 활용하려고 함에 있어서 기초자료로서 유효하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to survey major institutions in the Russian Far East, which holds various kind of materials related to Korean studies. Our project team had visited major archives, institutes and univrsities in Vladivostok, Ussurisk and Khabarovsk and collected copies of historical materials. Because of the Cold War and language barriers, Korean scholars, for a long time, did not have had enough knowledge about academic works of Russian scholars. South Korean scholars could not have an access to a rich sources of historical materials preserved in archives, institutes and universities in the former Soviet Union. The Russian Far East is drawing attention from Korean scholars as one of the centers for Korean studies because of two reasons. First of all, there lived almost 200,000 Koreans until they were deported to Central Asia in 1937. Secondly, in Vladivostok, there is the Far Eastern State University in Vladivostok, which was established in 1899 and became the first institution teaching Korean studies by opening the Department of Korean Language and Literature. We collected copies of historical materials which provide us with valuable knowledge about social, economic, cultural, and religious activities of early Korean settlers and Korean nationalist and communist activities in the Russian Far East. I hope that our report will be a great help to Korean scholars who want to visit the Russian Far East and to carry out their field research.
