국문 초록

碑誌文의 형상화 방식을 이해하기 위해서는 墓主, 비지문의 작자, 亡者 와 작자를 연결해주는 請者, 묘주를 둘러싼 주변인, 비지를 읽는 일반 독자의 상호 관계를 파악하는 것이 필요하다. 비지문의 창작 과정에서 중요한 것은 작자의 선정이다. 작자는 신뢰성을 지닌 인물로서, 망자의 삶을 온전히 기록할 수 있어야 하며 일정한 문장력을 구비하여야 한다. 그러나 산 사람은 죽은 사람을 통해 자신의 이념이나 욕망을 드러내기 때문에, 비지문의 문구 하나하나에까지 관심을 갖는다. 결국 비지문은 청자의 욕구와 작자의 태도 및 문장력이 상호 작용을 거쳐완성된 결과물이다. 청자의 과도한 요구 및 비주체적인 작자의 태도, 잘못된 사회적 관습으로 인해 비지문의 문학성에 한계가 발생한다. 비지의 작자는 史家로서, 文章家로서의 공식적인 위상을 지니며, 亡者와 관계를 맺고 있는 개인으로서 의 사적인 위상을 지니기도 한다. 그러나 조상을 기리고자 하는 청자의 요구가 과도하거나 작자가 비지에 대한 주관을 세우지 못하면 효율적인 망자의 형상화에 실패한다. 판에 박은 듯한 당대의 이념과 가치를 내세우면서개성 창출에 실패하게 되는 것이다. 비지문 창작의 부정적인 면모에 대한 문제제기는 퇴계 이후 지속적으로 발견되는 바, 이는 틀에 얽매이고 개성을 상실한 비지가 대세였음을 의미 한다. 이런 현상은 그것대로 인정해야 할 것이나, 상투적인 비지에 대한 비판적 시각과 도전을 특히 주목해야 할 것이다. 그 방향은 크게 ‘간략함, 그리고 진실의 추구’와 ‘전형성의 획득을 통한 개성의 표현’이라 할 수 있는데 이는 분리되거나 전혀 다른 것이 아니다. 여기에는 ‘個人에 대한 관심’과 ‘개성의 존중’에 대한 인식이 자리 잡고 있다. 그 결과 변화를 꾀하거나 다양한 형상화 방식을 도모한 바, 정보의 전달을 통한 망자의 추념, 추억과 회고를 통한 망자의 내면 형상, 의론의 배치를 통한 진실 추구 등으로 그 형상화 방식을 요약할 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 정리는 도식적인 분리나 개별화가 아니다. 하나의 작품에 여러 요소가 반영될 수 있으며, 그 강도도 일정하지 않다.

영문 초록

It is important to know mutual relationship between the decedent, a requester, a writher of the epitaph, Celtic fringes, and readers of the epitaph to understand the decedent embody on epitaph. The selection of the author is important in the creative process. People with the author as a reliable, he needs fine writing skill and able to record the decedent’s life clearly. However, people want to express their ideology or desire through the decedent, they concern about every single words on the epitaph. The requesters express claims, the author’s not independent, and social customs limits due to the epitaph’s literatures. The author of the epitaph is a historian, and a fine writher who has public renown. Also he has a persona; relationship status with the decedent. The epitaph would fail if the requester’s excessive claims pay high tribute to their ancestor’s charitable deeds or the author does not make his own mind about the epitaph. Also, creating uniqueness would fail when people only maintain stereotyped ideas and values of the time. Negative way of creative epitaph has been found since Teagea Lee Hwang. Epitaphs were in sudden rules and no uniqueness. This phenomenon, as it would have to admit, and pay attention to the different view of criticism and challenge will be noted on other side. The larger vision was ‘Simplicity,’ ‘Pursuit of truth,’ and ‘Representative.’ These are individual express of acquisition of representative character, but it does not separate or different. “Interest in one” and “respect for individuality'” are situated on the recognition. As a result, to try a variety of changes in embodies, the transmission of information through the decedent’s memorial, memories, and remember the deceased through the inner embody and placement of argument that shaped the way such as through the pursuit of truth can be summarized. However, this theorem is not a schematic separation or individualization. Reflected in the work of a number of factors and the strength is not constant.
