국문 초록

숙쉰 예술 세계의 정점에 위치한 시나리오 소설 『붉은 나무딸기(Калина Красная)』에는 그의 예술 세계의 주요 미학적 특성들과 예술적세계관이 잘 드러나고 있다. 숙쉰은 외부 환경에 대항한 개인의 내적인 영혼의 투쟁을 구현하고 있는 주인공을 『붉은 나무딸기』에서 가장 완성도 있게 형상화시키고 있으며, 그의 다른 작품에서 사용되었던 기법들, 다양한 모티프들의 활용, 일정한 서사 전개, 그에 대한 화자의 역할을 또한 강조하고 있다. 본고는 숙쉰의 대표작인 시나리오 소설이자 영화인 『붉은 나무딸기』를 포괄적으로 연구하려는 시도이다. 따라서 본고는 이 작품의 소 설과 영화 양 텍스트를 전체적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2장에서는 이 작품의 주인공 예고르 쁘로꾸진이 숙쉰 주인공의 비극적 형상을 구현시키고 있으며, 구체적으로 그가 자기 정체성의 탐구를 향한 절망적 시도를 하고 있다는 점을 살펴보았다. 3장에서는 소설 『붉은 나무딸기』와 영화 『붉은 나무딸기』의 공통점과 상이한 장르의 역사상의 상호 관계를 개괄하면서, 두 개의 서로 다른 예술 장르가 어떻게 저자의 의도를 발전시켜 나갔는지를 분석했다. 이후 맺음말에서는 『붉은 나무딸기』의 주인공 예고르 쁘로꾸진의 형상을 중심으로 이 작품에 대한 전체적인 결론을 내렸다. 즉 예고르는 숙쉰의 전형적인 주인공 스타일인 ‘길을 떠나고 돌아오는 인물’인데, 그는 이러한 이동을 통하여 끊임없이 자기 혁신을 이룩하는 인물이라는 점을 강조했다.

영문 초록

Shukshin's Kalina Krasnja ranks among the most sensational Soviet movies of the 1970s. In April 1974 the film won best picture at the Seventh Annual All-Union Film Festival in Baku. Kalina Krasnaia was a showcase for Shukshin's synthetic thinking. At once a high tragedy, a cruel romance, and a melodrama, the movie(and the novel) defies definition in much the same way its creater does. Shukshin's Kalina Krasnja told the kind of story everyone can understand and relate to: the return of prodigal son to his native home. It did so in a brisk, straightforward manner, using obvious symbolism, melodramatic effect, and openly sentimental scenes. The main character is colorful, sympathetic, and unpredictable, while secondary characters include the stock protagonists from any mass-audience movie: impossibly decent and likable good guys(Egor's love interest, Liubov' Baikalova, her steadfast brother Petro, and their kind, trusting parents) opposed the formula villains(Egor's former gang members). Character names are intentionally transparent. Egor's nick name is Gore - “sorrow, woe, trouble”. Luibov' means “love” and “charity”, while Baikalova calls to mind the largest freshwater lake in the world, Lake Baikal, located in Siberia - an obvious sign of Luiba's purity and virtue. Egor plays no fewer than four roles-that of bookkeeper, thief, investigater, and commissar-in his first encounter with Luiba's parents. changing verbal masks as he spars with old man Baikalov in a brilliant demonstration of his command of the various layers of social language typical of each profession. In these moments Shukshin's recidivist-thief looks more like his acter-creater. Egor, caught between his urban gang and life with Liuba in the village, is the most well known of Shukshin's restless, rootless heroes who are at home neither in the city nor in the country. Indeed, in Egor's story Shukshin was, to a certain extent, addressing certain issues of his own fate. Shukshin's engagement with Egor as a writer and actor was a way for the artist to confront his unresolved feelings over his own choices in life. Egor is an autobiographical alter ego-and Kalina Krasnaia an autobiographical movie and novella-only in the broadest sense. Its importance for Shukshin seems to lie elsewhere: in the larger stories being told about leaving the village, betraying one's roots, and the impossibility of going home again.
