This paper aims to develop on academic literacy activities in the practical area for verbal gifted children, which focus on various specific knowledge learning and investigating in cross-curriculum contents for their curiosity and interests. Esp.this program is characterized by proposing potential jobs and canon texts for them. It is used for 4th grade and 6th grade.
Level I focus on explanation and comprehension, Level II does persuasion and acception. So 6 lessons" syllabuses are proposed. There are three types of lesson format, "comprehension, inquiry, project". Each lesson is composed of three sections : "preview, lesson plan, worksheet for students".
Non-fiction texts, this program focus on, have various frames and contents to communicate bet. social members. Verbal gifted children are expected for future journalists, lawyers, professors, and copywriters, who are good at speaking and writing in those areas. Therefore these are experienced at various academic literacy activities.
So, this proposes "What is code?" as a sample, lesson 1. It expects for them to understand the role of code and language in their society, furthermore the role of books conveying their social knowledge.
