아동의 정서와 색채 관계 및 선호색

국문 초록

  본 연구는 색의 정서적 영향에 근거하여 아동감정과 색채 관계 및 선호색에 대해서 알아보고자 하였다. 서울시 저소득층 공부방 및 방과후 교실 아동 283명(남: 145명, 여: 138명)에게 14색 중에 6가지 긍정적, 부정적 감정을 제시하여 해당하는 감정에 연상되는 색과 가장 좋아하는 색을 선택하는 실험을 하였다. 긍정적 감정에서 가장 많이 사용한 색은 노랑, 분홍 주황 순이며. 남자아동이 노랑, 파랑, 하늘색 순인 반면, 여자아동은 노랑, 분홍, 주황을 선택하였다. 부정적 감정 색은 남녀 차이 없이 검정, 빨강과 보라/갈색 순이다. 선호색에 남녀아동이 가장 즐겨 사용한 색은 파랑, 하늘, 분홍 순이며 전체적으로 파랑계열이 우세하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 색을 아동 미술교육의 정서활동 및 치료과정에 활용할 수 있다고 본다.

영문 초록

  This study examined the relationship between children"s emotion and color based on the emotional effect of color and their favorite colors. 283 students(145 boys, 138 girls)from low income families who attended after-schools or study rooms in Seoul chose 6 positive and negative emotional colors and the most favorite color between 14 colors. Results indicated that the mostly used color as positive emotions was yellow and the next colors were pink and orange in sequence. Boys used yellow. blue and sky blue. on the other hand girls chose yellow. pink and orange in sequence. As negative colors boys and girls chose black. red. violet/brown in sequence. As favorite colors boys and girls chose blue. sky blue and pink in sequence and overall blue color exceeded in number. This study is possible to put to practical use in emotional activities through art education and therapeutic processes.
