우리나라 미술교육 관련 학위논문 현황 - 제7차 교육과정 시기를 중심으로 -

국문 초록

우리나라 교육대학원 미술교육 전공자들에 의해 연구된 학위논문의 수는 해마다 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 논문들이 어떠한 주제를 다루고 있으며, 어떠한 방법에 의해 어떠한 영역의 연구가 이루어졌는가에 대한 체계적인 분석과 동향을 파악하여 종합ㆍ정리한 연구는 많지 않다. 따라서 미술교육전공 학위논문을 대상으로 체계적이고 집약적인 연구의 필요성이 요구된다. 이 연구는 현재 진행 중인 제7차 교육과정 시기를 중심으로 국내 미술교육 관련 학위논문의 현황 파악을 목적으로 하고, 각각의 연도별ㆍ학교 급별ㆍ연구방법 유형별ㆍ연구영역별ㆍ연구주제별 분류기준에 의해 석사학위논문을 분석하였다. 그 결과 국내 미술교육 관련 학위논문은 2000년을 기점으로 그 수가 크게 증가하고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다. 그리고 연구대상의 학교 급으로는 초등학교와 관련한 연구가 가장 많았고, 실험적 연구가 주된 연구방법 유형으로 채택되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 감상 영역과 한국화 영역에서 많은 연구가 이루어지고, 미술과 교수ㆍ학습방법을 주제로 한 연구가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

Since 1960s, when the first graduate school of education was established in Korea, the number of the institutes has grown to 134 in 2004, and resulted in various and prodigious shifts in landscape of art education. Research commitments have, in result, become more active, and now we can refer to more than 6,000 studies in this particular field. Despite of the vast quantity of research efforts, however, few studies have focused on the systematic analysis of the trend of these works in art education. In consequence, studies in art education have not been appropriately quoted and utilized which resulted in few meaningful contributions in developing art education. Therefore, The dire need for the research to consolidate preceded studies is called for. Hence the objectives of this research are two-fold: First, to get understanding of where we are in art education, and second, to provide directives as to where we should go. To accomplish these objectives, 666 pieces of related studies during 1997 to August 2004, the period of 7th School Curriculum, were selected from National Assembly Library and analyzed by year, level of education, methodology, subject, and fields. Although this proposed thesis, based on these analyses, could establish the yardstick with which research works can be evaluated and explore possible directions of ensuing studies, the scope and methodology of this thesis restrain this thesis from providing the general analysis of art education as a whole. Therefore, with expanded scopes and methodology, following studies would be required.
