한문교육학의 학문적 정립을 위한 序說 -한문교육학 연구의 동향과 과제-

국문 초록

본 연구는 한문교육학의 학문적 정립을 위해 한문교육학의 개념 및 성격을 잠정적으로 규정하고, 한문교육학의 내용과 구성 요소를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 그리고 지금까지 학계에 보고된 한문교육학 연구 논문의 실태와 동향을 몇 가지 범주로 구분하여 논의하는 한편, 한문교육학 연구의 학문적 정립을 위해 몇 가지 과제를 제기하였다. 필자는 한문교육학을 총체적 관점에서 이해하는 바탕위에, 일반적인 수준에서, 한문교육학의 개념을 “한문에 대한 교육을 탐색하는 학문”으로 규정하였다. 그리고 한문교육학은 교육적 보편성과 교과적 특수성이라는 이중적 성격을 가지고 있다. 교육적 보편성과 교과적 특수성은 상호작용적이고 상호조율적인 관계에 있다. 한문교육학의 내용 및 구성 요소는 한문학의 그것과 성격을 달리한다. 한문교육학은 한문학을 내적으로 함섭하지만 그 지향은 교수자와 학습자 및 교수- 학습 과정에 있다. 한문교육학은 학습자가 실제로 한문 학습이 일어나도록 하는 데 관심이 있으며, 이를 위한 교사의 역할과 기능, 교재의 구성과 선정, 학습자의 성장과 발달이 가능할 수 있는 학습 조건과 절차, 과정 등을 탐색한다. 필자는 한문교육학의 내용 및 구성 요소로 크게 한문과 목표론, 한문과 내용론, 한문과 교수-학습 방법론, 한문과 교재론, 한문과 평가론 등을 제시하였다. 한문교육학 연구의 실태와 동향을 연구 주제와 연구 방법 측면에서 파악하였다. 연구 주제 측면에서 한문교육학은 적지 않은 성과를 축적했지만, 연구 방법 관점에서 볼 때 문헌 연구에 치중된 경향을 시정해야 한다. 필자는 그 대안으로 실험 연구의 도입, 적용을 강조했다. 결론적으로, 우리에게 지금 필요한 것은 한문교육학에 대한 이론 공부다. 한문교육학 이론가가 되기 위해 공부해야 한다. 한문교육학 전공자가 되기 위해 노력해야 한다. 공부하고 노력한, 한문교육학 이론가와 전공자가 대학에서 학생들을 지도할 수 있는 여건을 학계는 조성해야 한다. 그리고 학생들이 한문교육학을 학문으로서, 평생의 과업으로 수행할 수 있도록 공부의 길을 제시하고 격려해야 한다 '인식의 전환, 이론 공부, 그리고 그 실천'이, 한문교육학 연구의 처음이자 끝이다.

영문 초록

The objectives of this study were to define the concept and characteristics and to survey the contents and structural elements of the Chinese Letter Education for the academic establishing of the Chinese Letter Education. The actual condition and trends of articles concerned with the Chinese Letter Education were categorized by several standards. Some task were proposed to establish the academic research of the Chinese Letter Education. In my opinion, the concept of the Chinese Letter Education could be defined generally as “scholar to seek for education on the Chinese Letter.” The Chinese Letter Education has the dual characteristics like the educational universality and the subject speciality. The educational universality and the subject speciality are interactional and compensatory. The contents and the structural elements of the Chinese Letter Education are different from the Chinese Letter. Even though the Chinese Letter Education includes the Chinese Letter intrinsically, the inclinations of the Chinese Letter Education are instructors, learners and teaching-learning process. The Chinese Letter Education have interests in learning the Chinese Letter. For this, roles and functions of teachers, organization of and selecting texts, and condition, procedure and process for learning are important. In this study, the educational objectives, the subject contents, the teaching-learning methodology, the teaching materials and the evaluations were introduced as the contents and structural elements of the Chinese Letter Education. The actual research condition and trends of the Chinese Letter Education were surveyed by research topics and methods. In research topics, the Chinese Letter Education has accumulated much outcomes, but in research methods, it has focused on literary researches. To overcome this problems, case studies could be introduced and emphasized. In conclusion, the things that we have to do now, is the theoretical studying about the Chinese Letter Education. We have to try to become specialist and experts. Conditions and surroundings where specialist and experts can teach students at the universities should be prepared. The Chinese Letter Education should be the way that students study it as one scholar and the lifelong task. The conversion of perception, the theoretical study and doing are the starting point and the end of the Chinese Letter Educational Research.
